I finally saw the movie and that’s it. That is the Tao of Steve. The movie has random “footnotes” that I would be curious to look up sometime when I have more time. For now, it is recommended watching for all you wannabe Don Juans.

^The Tao of Steve a movie about seduction. This guy is the smartest guy in his class in high school and is great with the chicks. He studies philosophy and learns what some of the greatest minds in history had to say about scoring pussy. Over time he gets so good a picking up chicks; he no longer needs to put effort into any other area of his life. He makes a comment at one point that the only reason why men try to make money or be successful is to impress women. He says that the problem is that if you can learn how to get laid without success, then there is no motivation for anything else. That is why he lives in a shitty place, with a part time job, has burnout habits/lifestyle, and is overweight. However, he knows how to score and continues to have the success with women he had when he was younger and was in shape. That is fine till he runs into a woman he slept with once and forgot about. Of course that throws a kink into his normal plan (above, first post) and then he starts breaking some of his rules as the tactics he normally utilizes starts taking affect on him.

Anyway, my point is not to review the movie, but to discuss the S&A issues in the movie.

yeah..... k well unless you care to share anything you learned from the movie aside from "the tao of steve" then this really has no place in sex and affection. Try Media or something.

So...hurmm, I guess I need it dumbed down even further. With these two ideas, it seems males and females will be retreating from each other.

Or does #1, #2 and #3 refer to what the female should be doing? Is the "We" women? I'm so confused.

Yup, that is the entire idea, the foolish people that follow this advice will never reproduce, and thusly global population treads will start falling. Hopefully enough people will watch and follow the advice as to induce a negative population growth trend (and before you can start bitching EG, I am joking. "We pursue that which retreats from us" is normal human behavior. If someone is too easy to get, they are boring. To use that to your advantage, you let them chase you so they stay interested. That does not mean that you never hook up. It does mean that they chase you, not vice versa.

And yes Gus, if everyone did follow the Tao of Steve, it would not work so well. However, not everyone gets it, so it works.
