Write down a list of things to say before you start, ask her things like what done/doing on the weekend, know of any partys, what she has been up too etc. Try ask her questions where she cant Say just YES or NO get her to speak out. Remember if the conversation starts to get boring or theres nothing to say pull off the hang on "Yeh okay mum ill b off in a second" then just say oh mums been a bitch i gotta go to dinner. Also try start the convo Hey <name> just thought id give you a ring and see how you were doing or something like that
