just a hypothetical question.

Lets say that your girlfriend, after a very long and wonderful relationship, moves to another state 400 miles away. About a week later, she calls to tell you shes pregnat, and it HAS to be yours. She didnt sleep with anyone for 2 years except you. Your both 16.

Shes 400 miles away, pregnat with your baby. What would you do?

First off, I would evaluate my history with her (IE: Did we use a condom when we had sex?, etc). It is possible that she got pregnant by another guy in her new location, and is blaming it on you because she doesnt want to burden her new beau with fatherhood.

I would be consulting a counselor of some sort. What usually happens in cases like this is the male will tell his parents about it, it will turn out she was lying, and you have admitted to your parents that you had sex (putting yourself in an awkward situation).

Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on the subject. These are just my opionions, and I could be wrong.

Thats just an f'n stupid thing to say.

Secondly, if it is your baby, you need to buck up and do the right thing and help care for it. I wont say marry her, because being the product of a bad marriage is worse for the children then having a sinigle mother.

if she is indeed pregnant and you are sure that its yours you might want to talk about options. marriage, abortion, whatever.

I would consider my self a lucky ass bastard, all you have to do is pay child support.

I will stress like someone else mentioned, first make sure its yours. No matter what she tells you keep that possibility open. Women or young girls for that matter when they get in desperate situations will say and do anything no matter who it affects to benefit themselves and change the situation into the way they want it. Maybe I shouldnt say all women but a good 95% will.

I would keep in great touch with that girl. There is a chance she is preggers with another man. But, after a 2 year monogomous relationship, then you gotta think twice about that...its not as probable.

If she will get an abortion, I will pull a politician(throw money at it and look the other way).. But if she wont, I would keep by her side. It's not like I broke up with her. So she still needs support even if it's not my baby, becuase hell, I love her and I'm a good guy. I will tell my parents that she got pregnant while she was there, but i still care about her, and she has no one there to lean on, so i need to help her. When the baby is being born, I will go and be with her (and shortly after, obtain paternity test...child support will not be fun). If it is my parents, I am going to own up to my parents. If its not, I will just be there for her, and be there to talk (dont give her money!).

But then again, I am the hypothetical guy I'd want to have if I were that girl.
