Dating
As far as word play goes, how does a guy explain to the woman he is courting that it doesn't feel right for him to be paying for all the activities/food? (movie tickets, dinner, etc...) I mean she has a job too, I'd like to see a little more contribution in that sort of way without seeming rude about the subject. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Dating
just started dating but I dont want to make it seem routine for me to be funding all our dates. Both of us are in our late teens.

Re: Dating
If you just started dating you should probably hold off on asking her to help pay for the dates until you feel comfortable that she won't get made.
Or you could just meet for your next date and before you go tell her your a little short on money and ask if she would mind helping pay for part of the date.
But it also depends on whether she would get mad or not and i'm assuming she would or you wouldn't be asking for help or is it that you don't know.

Re: Dating
Well, there are certain social rules and expectations. Not that they're necessarily "right" but they do exist. Unless you were good, close friends before you started dating, there's no way to bring this up without seeming like a cheap bastard. Chnaces are you would be met with a raised eyebrow and a cold, awkward moment of silence. Then you'll be talking only to her voicemail.
Women spend a lot of money to date, too. Clothes, cosmetics, hair maintenence, shoes, accessories and all the things that go to making us pretty and presentable for our dates cost WAY more than guys spend for date preparation.
I, as would many females, would have offered to treat or at least pay my own share by now. If she hasn't, she may be one of those who use financial generosity as a criterium for dating you in the first place. Consider whether or not you think this is worth it.

Re: Dating
Cindy's info is great.
You really should give it a wait though. If you do it right now, it wont happen...she will not be happy. Chivalry my dear man.
When you do bring it up, dont just say "Hey, start paying"...sneak it in. Like when you ask her what she wants to do and she says "dinner/movies/etc.", say "I really dont think I can afford that right now. I have to save some money for blah at the moment" Either she is money hungry and will leave you, or she will get the picture and offer to pay for at least her share if not even her treat.
