Last night I pierced my scrotum with a safety pin. I "sterilized" the pin with Sea Breeze alcohol astringent. I left the safety pin in the hole seing as I don't have a ring to put in there. After the fact, I looked up information on the topic and it seems as thought the safety pin isn't a highly recommended piece of body jewelry. How long do you think I can leave the safety pin in there before i have to take it out and/or get a ring. It only hurts if I really move it hard and it is not really swollen or red or bleeding or crusty. Thanks.

Shoving sharp objects through your genitalia is not suggested. Either learn how to peirce or get it profesionally done. IT IS NOT THAT EXPESIVE FOLKS!!!

Did you do it because you thought it would look neato? If so, be aware, scrotal piercings are a big deal. Infections are not rare, and they can be devistating. It probably doesn't look great to begin with, seeing as you aren't a piercer. Think how it will look like when your scrotum falls off. If you want to keep it and have it look good, get it done professionally. It's probably going to cost a max of 100$ to get it at a really quality studio. Putting a ring in the yucky hole you have made will not make it look good at all.

How did you pierce it...Like does it go back to front, go all the way through or go side to side. Either way...a ring isn't what you need. If you want a ring for show, get one, but dont plan on wearing a scrotal ring all the time.

Scrotal piercings should be AT LEAST 12 ga, if not bigger depending on how it is pierced. A safety pin is around 18 ga. The chances of your piercing rejecting due to the sheer weight on a TINY hole is rather large, and the chances of it getting ripped out is even larger given the tiny hole.

If you are just doing it as a pain/ cbt deal (i am assuming that you want to keep it, but in case it's the pain you enjoy...) check out the bme shop, buy play piercing needles...there you go.

In short...if you want to keep it and make it look good, take out your safety pin and pay the piercer to do it .

BTW...if it's back to front and all the way through, its going to cost you a lot more...that would be considered a trans-scrotal, wouldn't heal, and is a minor surgery, not a piercing.

Balderdash! We wore safety pins as jewelry all the time in the early 80s 'cause we were punk. And just one? Wimp! Go for at least 10 in the scrotum. And if a&b is correct about needing a bigger gauge, try replacing the safety pin with a crayon. Now THAT's a statement.

It's all starting to come back too. I pierced my ear with a safety pin and left it in until I got my smiley face earring.

I took it aout. It was more of a "fuck you, I'm a punk" thing than anything. Its a little hard just from slight swelling and slightly hurts when I touch it, but I think its going to be okay. I hope this made somebody laugh.

im nto sure but when i got my nose peirced the girl there said that the wound woudl close within 15-20min if i took out the jewlery

with my nose( my friend got eyebrow piercing at teh same time) they said for soap use pears or u can buy a certain spray for around $10 CAND

its nt worth losing ur testicles; a life changin event i woudl guess

^ the hole is probably already closed, so any bacteria inside will remain trapped inside. Good advice, but the damage is done. BTW... If you get another piercing, try salt water soaks to clean the piercing. If you absolutely must use a soap, the most recommended soap is dial.

If you feel any sickness or slight pain, go to the doctor, explain what happened, and they will perscribe appropriate antibiotics.

a hafada piercing (like the one you have) should be pierced at around 12ga. a safety pin is less than ideal but if you disinfected it enough it should be fine, however your body will eventually reject it.

get an apadravya and it is self cleaning coz bacteria dont like living in urine.

also, follow the LITFA method (leave it the fuck alone) your body is a good healer, let it do it. now that its out of you just dont play with it.
