Quirks!
My ex and I were talking yesterday on the phone trying to resolve a few issues and we started talking casually. He mentioned a quirk I had that was...he cautiously said odd, but cute... However, I get the impression he just meant...annoying as hell! But, I'll try not to over analyse the whole thing.
The quirk is that I can't touch my own face or let anyone else. He one time said he went to touch my face and my expression scared/puzzled him. It was a romantic moment gone wrong. I don't see the big deal, it's just I don't or can't stand people touching my face. Wonder why it was such a big deal to him.

Re: Quirks!
I know that when I'm looking to be close with someone, or just "feel the love"..I want to be able to freely touch them. Kiss other places than the lips, gently touch her face. Or while cuddling, rub faces together, or while being playful. But everyone isnt touchy-feely, I guess, but maybe it's as important to him as it is to me?

I guess, it's mostly just hands touching my face. I can't even touch my face with my own hands. Hands are more and more becoming an issue.

Do you know why you dont like your face touched?
I like to touch a girls face when im kissing her. I knew a girl kinda like that, but it extended to her shoulders. I have seen her face when she thought someone was going to, it scared me. It was like she wa going to go psyco. I dont know but If it scared him you should talk about it.

Re: Quirks!
Hands! They're so disgustingly dirty.
You should wear gloves, like LC. She doesn't want to get people's nasty hand germs on her hands. Let alone let them see her dirty hands.
Actually, one reason that bad complexions occur is maybe folks touching their faces on an ongoing basis. I mean how often would a person make sure their hand was clean,
before touching their face?
So, is yer complexion extra good?

I think it's a hand issue, hands are never clean enough! and I don't want hands near my face. Like the other day at College this woman was in the restrooms and rinsed her hand under the tap, shook them off turned off the tap and walked out. But she seriously had a few brown marks on her hands. She didn't use any soap at all. That almost made me sick. Hands are never clean enough... I doubt that's really paranoid of me!

Re: Quirks!
I wash my hands with soap, and then I take a towel turn off the facuet and then open the door with it. My hands are pretty clean.

I carry around a small cloth towel to open doors and touch things in public, turn off taps et cetera.

Re: Quirks!
Definitely "Quirky", if not a bit "obsessive-compulsive"; not trying to flame.
But meh, I'd hit it.

Re: Quirks!
That sounds scarily like OCD. It's not a bad thing, and truthfully, having clean hands is a good thing. The story you told of the shit stain lady is disgusting. Vile. Ick. Makes me want to be sick. But back to you, if it is a big deal, and you think it could get to be more of a problem in future relationships, then you may want to check out counseling. In some situations, low dose anti-depressants help, and there are also OCD medications.
But if it is not a problem to you, I dont see anything wrong with it. I am a face toucher, but if I loved someone and it really upset them, i would just not do it. No big deal.

Re: Quirks!
Wear gloves.
Everyone should wear gloves, at least more often than they do.
And there's nothing wrong with being OCD, as long as it remains quirky and doesn't progress into scary.
Creepy is okay. Scary is bad, though.
Creepy keeps assholes from fucking with you. Scary gets you arrested for indecency.
Trust me...

Yes, it is. And this does sound like a bad case of OCD.
The world is not a sterile place. It never has been. The human race has not survived by being in a bubble for millenia; we can handle some germs.
You consider all hands dirty? There's a world of difference between this normal "dirty" and fucking *dirty*. The latter is what you should be cautious of, we all should. That's where Miss Brown Streaks fits in. Fuck that. But to allow paranoia of the same things that are on your face normally to ruin romantic moments is something I would pity- and find incredibly fucking annoying as well.
By the way, read that again- things which are ON YOUR FACE NORMALLY. Read it over and over until it sinks in. Stare at your hands, stare at a mirror, and keep doing it until it sinks in the same air surrounds both. Then rub your hands all over your face. Go off the deep end or get your head straight- either way, you'll save some other poor bastard from having to forego a number of sensual possibilities because you freak out over normal, worldly shit.

Re: Quirks!
Nah, i don't think that's very weird. Im a guy and if my girlfriend touches my face if i can feel the oils on her hand, i think it's kinda gross. I'm not like a skincare nut, but i try not to touch my face or rest my head in my hand because i used to get a lot of zits on the bottom of my face where i'd have my hand.
