Stretch Marks
How much of a turn off are stretch marks on a scale from one to ten, one being not a turn off at all, and ten being so disgusting you'd never talk to the person again if you found out they had them.

Re: Stretch Marks
dude, stretch marks happen to lots of people, even the skinny ones. I would say, from 1-10, they are like a 5, for 50% of being a turn-off or turn-on.

I don't see how they could be that bad. I mean, they never go away. So noone can hold it against you if you were a fat kid. And then you lost weight when you got older. Thats really shallow if they do anyway. i have some, Ill admit they are kind of embarassing, but I think if you get a tan it reduces appearance. But I would like to hear the response to this too. i wouldnt be grossed out unless they were visable from 30-40 feet away.

Re: Stretch Marks
Well seeing as I created the topic, I should say what I think.
I think they are natural. I have them, and alot of people have them. I don't really thing of it as a turn on or a turn off. Just kind of if you got em, you got em, big deal.

Re: Stretch Marks
They don't bother me at all. My girl is 18, and has been on orthoevra shot for 2 years, and has developed stretch marks because of it (according to the doc) and she was not fat as a child. Birth control fucks up womens bodys bad. She bleeds every now and then for no reason, has stretch marks, weight gain, moodiness, and lowered libido.
What the fuck good is birth control if you feel too fat, and too much like shit to fuck?
Goddamn the irony.

Re: Stretch Marks
On myself, I fucking despise stretchmarks, but then I despise myself.
I've got some on my arms where I weight lift obsesively, and I've still got faint scars from where I used to be a really fat ugly bitch.
Or should I say MORE fat and ugly than I currently am, Which I still am.
But stretchmarks on other people dont bother me.
It's only minor little scars, they're as natural as fingernails or hair, and indeed, the majority of people who've actually been through puberty will have them.
To reduce them, you can get good creams and bleaches, this lightens them alot.
Also helpfull is toning up and moisturising.
But the best way to get rid of stretch marks?
Time.

Re: Stretch Marks
I'm extremely skinny and still got them. My doc just brushed it off and i'm not sure doctors realize while they don't physically hurt you they can help screw you up emotionally.
They bother me. Less now than a year or 4 ago. However I don't mind them on other people. Strange huh?

Re: Stretch Marks
Stretch marks fade over time, and keeping the skin elastic with good moisturizers helps prevent more from forming. I swear that pure cocoa butter and shea butter minimize the appearance of them as well.

Re: Stretch Marks
They do happen to everyone. It's not a terribly big deal.
If you want to get rid of them, either get real cocoa butter like cindy said (buy it from a baking store, and you can be sure it doesn't have any additional lotions), olive oil (old Italian wives trick), or pop some vitamin E capsules. Massage any of the above on the marks daily, and they will lighten significantly.

Umm.. acctually they can go away. It depends on how they were formed, how deep it is, how old you are, your tan, etc etc. But things like vitamin E will generally take care of it, with varrying degrees.
Also, if it's not a very deep scar, Retina usually takes care of it. It works by basically peeling off layers of skin. So basically if you keep applying it, the stretch mark will go away. You need it prescribed by doctors, but it works for those of you that don't have the scar really deep.
Hope that helps

If they're on an obese person, GROSS.
But, if they're on a good mother, then they're attractive since the women had children, and gives her attention to them.
