I was reading a book and it had a chapter called Why Masterbation is bad. It explained that it is an addiction and such. It didnt go into much physical side effects and now im just wondering if you think masterbation is bad...?? well??

There is no fucking way that masturbation is bad for you, its perfectly natural. The only real instance where it gets bad is where you start putting it before other things, such as goin out with friends and doing shit.

And masturbation is viewed as bad because we live in a society with major sexual hang-ups. Go try to talk to your mom or dad about BDSM. Or watersports.

While doing research into old sex practices, masturbation was highly looked down upon because like mentioned before in the first post, but also it was thought that the sexual fluids were like the lifeblood of people, and it would destroy or damn their spirit. So catholicism and christianity, and a bunch of other religions around at that time started hiring small inventors to make "anti masturbation" devices like chastity belts. One notable device was a small ring that went around the penis with several small spikes that would poke into the shaft when it became erect. These old stipulations still make it here today in modern society.

And Convents started out as gathering of church sanctioned hookers so the pastors and higher ups of religion (sworn to abstinence and such) would have an outlet for their "sexual" needs.
