fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
ok, i know i've posted before on another thread saying friends with benefits is stupid but i'm just thinking ...
if you are mature enough to understand that you don't want an emotional relationship and realize that maybe all you ever wanted was just the physicalities wouldn't it work for you? (well, not with anyone, i think FWB should be with someone you respect/trust and at least care about in some way if not really emotionally)
so long as both parties understand:
- no emotional tie downs (its hard for some yes, but if you could/knew and could handle it)
- both would have no sexual frustration
- purely physical
- NO ATTACHMENT (no strings attached, same thing)
- understand if one person finds a meaningful relationship that the other will back off (hey it was purely physical so why does it matter?)
- KEY THING: DON'T ASK FOR MORE.
so a lot of these are kind of repetitive as in understanding there is no/never will be emotional attachment. it takes a lot to understand that and be mature about it, but i'm thinking for people who don't have the time for a relationship but still wanna get laid you know, but not with just any random person cuz that's basically whoring yourself out.
i dunno, tell me what y'all think. flame if you must, but am mostly looking for contstructive input here.

Re: fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
heh that shit dont work. i had a 'freind with benefits' but after awhile it got out of hand, and i had to tell her straightup that we are not dating, we never will date, and no more sex untill you can calm down. it got to a point she thought we were in a relationship of sort, and whenever her freinds started hitting on me she got mad. so, unless you lay the law down and i mean law it down hard before you get invovled with that. whoever your fucking is gonna end up wanting more out of it.

Yea its funny how that works. It seems the only way opposite sexes can be friends is if one is attracted to the other or can use the other. Think about it.

Re: fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
If you care about them in some way and have respect for them, and they the same for you, someone will end up with feelings. That's just people for ya, we aren't that mature that we can have fuck buddies. It is just not going to last, and someone will get hurt. Probably the one who gets blown off when the other finds a relationship.
You can try it, and maybe you will be a lucky one who breaks it off before there are too many feelings, but then again, more often than not someone gets their feelings hurt.

Re: fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
it works and its the best route to take. the problem people have is they limit themselves to one fuck buddy. when you have 3 or 4 no one is going to get all female and have emotional attachment issues.

Re: fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
I have to agree that the fuck buddy thing doesn't really work without emotional attachment. However if you have multiple relationships...then it does, because there IS emotional attachment. It just means that you have an emotional attachment to more than one partner. Polygamorous (sp?) is the way to be.

Re: fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
The only way a "fuck buddy" situation "works" is if you have several, and you don't give a rat's ass about any of them. Meaning, they are completely inappropriate relationship material. The whole mutual respect thing and everything else in your list will just make the situation more problematic (as a&b suggested).
Females who think they can "handle" being a fuck buddy end up like a stray puppy which gets used to getting fed by someone. You will grow attached, you will want to be part of their lives, and when they reject you, it'll feel the same as a relationship breakup.

Re: fuck buddies (to be or not to be; that is the question)
Hmm, the whole friends with benefits thing always works out for me. I never get involved with anyone who I really care about. That's not always my own personal choice, but whatever.
"Fuck buddies" will only work if you're strong enough to not get emotionally involved. Most girls are not capable of that. MOST, not all. Guys are usually great with it, but then there are also males who get emotionally attatched too fast. If you find the right person, this can work out to be a great arrangement.
