I assume you're a guy. So what's the problem. You say she now has several male "friends", and only a couple of female "friends". So the only difference will be that when you start dating her, then she will have a couple of female friends, and several male "friends", PLUS ONE boyfriend, (I guess!!). As far as WHETHER you SHOULD date her, well......if you would have dated her if she had NO male friends, then you should date her now. Anyway, I don't see why you shouldn't go out with her. Some girls just have a harder time socializing with other females. It just means that you'll have more in common, hehe.

I understand the tension there. In a perfect world, such a situation shouldn't ever be an issue: no one has insecurities, no one's ever been screwed over, everyone behaves fairly and with ethics.

But this is the real world, where it's problematic for males and females to be friends 'cause the sexual tension is a reality. You're perhaps concerned that one of these male friends might suddenly turn territorial and make a move on her. Some might say this is an unreasonable fear, since if nothing's happened yet with any of these male friends, nothing will happen ever. Hah! Dudes get weird when a female friend suddenly has a boyfriend; as I said, they turn territorial.

Sure, you could get involved, but be aware that if her friends bother you, you will have problems. You can't ask her to spend less time with her friends, and you can't go ape-jealous on her 'cause you knew what you were getting into.

Think of it in this manner; If she tends to hang around with guys more, at least she won't be "grossed out" by farting, burping, and mention of pornography. [Why yes, I have met people like these! She ridiculed me for participating in a burping competition... So I'm immature, jeez]

How does she act around her guy-friends? "Friendly" or like just a mate? At least she won't be as obsessive about her hair, make up, etc.

Try it out, see how you feel about her behavior around her guy-friends. Intense jealousy is never a fun thing and gets pretty annoying. [But I am friendly, and one of the guys was an ex-boyfriend, who was my fiance's best friend. Only awkward in a group though, alone we got along great]

Um, yeah - Just decide, how much of a big deal is it that most of her friends are male? Because she's unlikely to change her choice in friends for you.

i am a girl that has more guy friends than girl friends. i dont really like girls. i date "one of the guys" out of all my guy friends. i would suggest dating her if you really like her but be careful because if you guys break up, it may be weird for her to be around all her guys friends. i have been there...

I mean my own g/f has a whole lot of male friends. I mean we are 5000 miles apart and I still trust her completely. Hell one of her closest friends is a male though he has been annoying her and upseting her no end since she got back from her visit to me. He has a major thing for her and his first question wwhen he saw the engagement ring on her finger after the inevitable "Whats that" was "How could you do this to me?" Hell his dumb ass asked her had we been kising!!! I mean No we got engaged without being physical in any way at all. Fuck while she was here we continued to talk exclusivly by phone and email.

Anyway she was very close to him and they do alot of stuff togetehr and only last week she spent the most of it with another male friend in a different state in his place. I know she would always tell me if or rather when (She is absoloutly stunning looking) someone tries it on with her. She knows I ill be faithful to her and would never hurt her like that just like I know she wouldnt do it to me. You just need to remember that the female mind isnt always looking at men thinking I want to have sex or something. I know as does she that alot of her male friends on ly want something from her but she knows who her true friiends are.

Cindy nailed it. If you're going to go out with this girl, be prepared for her guy friends to beat the hell out of you for absolutely any minor miniscule thing, if they're really close. The majority of my friends are guys, the whole "relationship" thing just doesn't work for me. I guess I'm too... promiscuous. Hmm, I think I spelled that wrong. And possibly used it in the wrong context. Oh well. You know what I mean.

You by anychance wouldn't happen to be in the navy and live in Hawaii and you're fiance lives in WI?

If you can handle the fact she has several male friends, go for it. If they turn stupid and territorial, they're in the wrong, not you. That's all you can do.

oh, it may be a good idea to get to know her guy friends just a little, as a precaution.

only thing bad is if you're the jealous possessive type and start bitchin at her about her guy friends and getting mad at her if she hangs around them and stuff ... remember to not do that because she will be PISSED ... bah ... but i don't see anything wrong with it as long as you're ok with her guy friends and stuff ... get to know 'em so that you'll be comfortable with her being with them. simple. but not.
