masturbation on television
alot of rapist and sick sex murderers became the abusers they are due to sexual repression as a kid. most kids think its wrong to masturbate. does anyone know why? let me tell you: THERE IS NO MASTURBATION ON TELEVISION. since kids arent exposed to such things on television they think it is wrong when they discover it for themselves thus not masturbating or masturbating and feeling realy bad about it, then growing up to be resentful of their lack of sexual knowledge and rapeing and killing and cooking and eating ovaries/vas deferens. i think that masturbation should be celebrated on television and seen everywhere to open the minds of kids. besides, who wouldnt like to see spongebob squarepants jerk it every once in a while... take a minute to realy think about it.............. heh heh.... no one has to leave a comment im just realy bored.

Re: masturbation on television
Thats what the internet is for!! Besides think of it this way, would you want your seven year old child to see two people having sex while flipping through the channels? I dont think so, and if you do you would be one fucked up parent. Plus there is porn, you just have to pay for it.

Re: masturbation on television
What the hell? That's the most crack-pot theory I've heard all week.
People don't rape because they were sexually suppressed as a child.
People (males mostly) rape as dominating thing. Ever seen Disclosure? Rape is about power. Can you imagine if you were a rapist and the woman really got into it? Started enjoying it? It would be rape, forceful and you wouldn't get that same satisfaction.
As far as psychosexual murderers go, those are often the people who were sexually abused as a child. The one's who were violently raped/molested/what have you. I don't believe in criminal psychology one bit. I think most of it's bullshit, however, if you read through some of the history of Ed Gein etc, you'll see a pattern.
Either way, most kids don't see masturbating as wrong. They realize it's PRIVATE. Which is a healthy thing to think at a young age. Sexuality is just being explored (masturbation being the entrance). If children were to see masturbation as something to do in public and if sexual material was at their disposal, attitudes towards sex would change for the worse.
It's better that people wait until they can fully grasp what it is to have sex, who they are as person, they're tastes and preferences without being influenced by the media or sick perversions. Let them invent their OWN perversions and seek them out - don't hand them beastiality on a silver platter.
I can only speak for myself as far as feeling guilty about masturbating - I never felt it. I can go on to blame it on the Catholic parents but.. I was raised Catholic and even at the tender age of 6 (when I discovered the orgasm) I never felt bad. I think there's a predisposition to feeling guilt. (Hence why some people are unaffected my guilt trips, myself included.)
Resentful of their lack of sexual knowledge? That's shite. Children don't need to worry about knowing about sex. There's som many other things to be occupied with, like learning, than to worry about sex. Sexual knowledge comes through experience, not what's on TV. Yes, there are guides, articles, magazines, forums! that can give advice but it's should definitely NOT be the root of one's sexuality and everything they know about it.
The thought of cartoons masturbating is perverse. I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again, I'm liberal when it comes to sex, don't judge people that like to have sex with corpses and dogs (haven't really met any but that's another thread) but children and sex don't mix. I draw the line at child porn and all that jive. It's wrong, there's innocence, and as much as I hate to admit it, sex corrupts that innocence to a certain degree.

Re: masturbation on television
Heres what I think, masturabtion is kind of seen as wrong on TV and while most kids aren't huge computer nerds that spend their time wasting away in front of a forum, they are glued to their TV. Think about it, masturbation is highly encouraged amongst an online community, while an active sex life is highly encouraged on TV. I'd say about 2/3 of the children today are glued to their TV's, not their computers. So this pretty much supports FunSize's theory. Just without all the rape and psycho murdering.
