ok, i'm sure you've had this topic around...... a million times, but i can't tell if this guy likes me. he does some of the stuff that i would do to let someone know i liked them, but i'm really weird so i wouldn't like to compare anyone's behaviour to me.

i take the piss out of him a lot, but flirt at the same time, and i think that is reciprocal. he texts me stuff sometimes for no reason, and i sometimes do that to people i like.

but the thing is i talk to him online sometimes, try to engage him in something a little deeper, and it doesn't really work.

i'm trying to figure out a way i can say i like him, without him thinking i'm weird. actually, any way of saying i don't hate him would be cool. we are going to a friend's meal in a couple weeks, i figure i can get him drunk and say something then... but any suggestions would be awesome

If its just you two at the meal. Then go for a kiss when you say goodnight.

What are you in grade 3?

Just flat out ask him if he wants to hook up with you.

Your plan for using alcohol as an aid isn't a good one. When will people learn, alcohol is not a good idea when it comes to saying things you need to say/asking so and so out/trying to get a girl in bed.

Why don't you just ask him to the movies or to come and hang out or help you with something. Then when you've got him with you, act really flirty. If you have the courage to actually tell him hey I like you, that's cool. If you don't make some moves. If you're in the movies etc. "accidentally" put your hand on his and see if he moves his hand away. If you dont move yours, he'll know (either that or he is dumb) you like him and will respond appropriatly to his feelings. If he keeps being okay with it, lean your head on his shoulder or something. If he lets you cuddle with him, he likes you and again knows you like him. Body language is explanitory.

Just ask the guy.

There's nothing like all out truth in a matter like this.

Face it, us guys are dumb when it comes to hints and flirting and shit!!!

I should know because I never notice things like that unless they are pointed out to me!

Good luck.

I'm so easily manipulated, bushy.

Actually, I've said this before and I'll say it again, in general, to everyone: quit thinking it's a good idea to "know where you stand". Nothing in life is a sure thing, and if you're going to dither on everything unless you're guaranteed your desired outcome, you'll never get anything done, you'll never have adventures and you'll never taste the sweet satisfaction that comes from pleasant surprises.

Just roll with it. You don't have to do or say anything except what you're already doing or saying.

Acctually i would disagree with you. There are many things i just can't say while sober, because i'm afraid of the reaction, getting some alcohol(enough to loosen up) can help me over come that fear.

I'm Shy and alcohol helps.

Why is saying "I like you" weird?

What would you do if someone, out of the blue came up to you and said:

"Hey, I like you". You'd probably think they were a stalker. Having a stalker might seem fun to some of us, but I'm sure it freaks a few of them out, too.

Tact is a good idea. Booze is not tactful.

i'm 16. and i'd like to think i'm quite mature. this is just really weird, this guy has got me thinking about how i appear to him, and others. i only met him a little while ago, and before that i was pretty self-assured. this guy has got me feeling really weird. i can't tell if it's a good or bad thing.

it doesn't mean i'm immature.

ok well i was thinking about this.

I think you should just walk up to him in a half giddy mood, and act like one of those cute little anime characters, and stand on one foot, with the toe of the other one on the ground, and then put your finger at the corner of your mouth and say " I think I like you" and then walk away. If a girl did that to me I would love her forever. That takes balls and its so cute.

Do it like that if he dosn't like you you can say you were drunk. one thing I have learned is that you can blame anything on alchohol and the other person will forget about it in a week.

Good luck

Hi, AllOuttaAngst:

Bushy's idea will work!! And trust your female instincts....from one girl to another, I can almost guaranty you that if you THINK he likes you, then HE DOES!! Love, Venus.

ok guys, those last 2 were also pretty useful... ummm, bushy's was... imaginative.

i get what you mean about the anime characters, though. my friend is totally into anime and draws me in that pose all the time. hmmm i suppose it could work.

anyway, i have a little more time to suss it out, as i have been put into the same practical group as him for biology. that means i spend 3 lessons this week with him, may be able to figure out a little more.

thanks.

SEE it could work. I think that would be so cool if a girl did that because that would take guts. I want to see those drawings to see if thats what i mean, do you have any??

The internet allows people to say things that they never thought they could. I am normally shy around girls that I don't know or have just met, but once I am able to spark something I'm perfectly comforatable. AIM helps me out a lot with this initial "spark".

Who cares what people think; just get into a nice little conversation and say "You know what, I've always kind of liked you." It's much easier to say online than it is in person, but once you say it a few times online, it becomes easier and easier to say that kind of stuff in person.

Rule to live by: Pain doesn't last forever.

If you follow that rule, you will live a much happier, care-free and stress-free life.
