I totally agree that 16 year old girls are emotional time bombs!
When i saw Partyondudes thread, I thought it was totally ironic i stumbled upon it because I'm dealing with the troubles of a 16 year old girlfriend.
She is the biggest emotional rollercoaster i ever got involved with. The only problem is that I am deeply rooted in love with her. I will do absolutely anything for her, and have even attempted the long haul of quitting drugs, which I am still in the throes of.
To the point...Just 2 days ago, my girlfriend, Briana, told me that she didn't want me to care for her, or even to love her....although she blatantly stated she loved me and didn't want me to think that is was because of her not loving me. We have been going out for almost 8 months now, and I even proposed to her 2 months ago, and she said yes, and was all happy about it. We planned on a long engagement so as to not rush into marriage.
She's manic depressed, and bi-polar, so it could just be that fact that she doesnt want to talk to me....but i Feel its much more than that...I also think its because this is the month that her father passed away from a drug OD...and thats why she wanted me to quit drugs...which I am...and she knows it...so what the fuck is her deal? I'm sick of putting up with her emotions and her not even considering mine...I'm not selfish, I just want to be felt...I do absolutely everything and conform for her....WTF man?

Dude, how old are you? 16, and already planning on marriage? jesus.... And just tell her how you feel then, don't bitch about it to us. That's what I did, instead of asking other people about what to do, I asked her. But then again, look where I ended up.

Re: I totally agree that 16 year old girls are emotional time bombs!
Teenage years are for growing, learning and discovering. Not for making lifetime decisions! Honestly, you're no more qualified than she is in making judgements about what's best for you at this point in your life. Assuming you're also 16, consider 5 years ago, when you were 11. Have you grown (mentally, emotionally, intellectually) since then? Of course you have. In the next 5 years, you'll grow exponentially more.
Everything you said and experienced is "about right" for the circumstances. No one "failed", it's just teenage life and the concomitant extremes of emotions.
Remember what Milhouse Van Houten said about his girlfriend..."We started out like Romeo and Juliet but ended in tragedy." I love that quote and use it often 'cause it accurately conveys both the naivete and poignancy of young love.

Re: I totally agree that 16 year old girls are emotional time bombs!
I am 18, and I am not marrying her during our teenage years....its going to be well after I graduate college...I just asked her to be with me forever, you might say its a promise, not an engagement. See I already asked her about what's going on and she's shying away from saying anything...sying she doesn't know she's just emotionally falling apart, and doesn't want my help, just wants to deal with it herself. I am afraid to let her though, because she's a cutter and I feel I could help her by listening to her...but she obviously doesnt want to talk to me...fuck it i guess...I'm not letting it hurt me that bad, its just my worries for her...

Her dad just passed away from an OD? And you're wondering why she's an emotional timebomb?
Damn.

and i could tell it is about her father a little bit, because my little brother called her and asked her if she was going to come out for Spring Break still, and she said no because Spring Break is the worst time of year, and she was just going to stay in bed all week...

Oh, so the "is" where an "are" should be is also a punchline? (gah, this human humor thing is too much work, I'm going to go reboot, my processor herts [now that is a punchline].)

Re: I totally agree that 16 year old girls are emotional time bombs!
I have 3 things to say.
1. You're pussy whipped. Hah.
2. Why the hell would you want to get into a relationship with a trainwreck?
3. Maybe she's being a mental case because SHE'S ONLY 16 and you sucked her into this crazy long term "engagement/promise" thing. You fucking idiot. Sorry, that was harsh but... actually no, you're a fucking idiot.

Are you thick? She's BIPOLAR. She knows she's hurting the shit out of you and she wants to not to have to hurt you.
Now if you can't understand that and think she's selfish when she has a serious mental disorder, maybe you're the selfish one? She can't just wake up and get over it. Sheesh.

"Is" is the correct verb because he is talking about a single show not a group of people.
I hate it when people make incorrect corrections.

No shit, re-read my post, and try to understand how that "incorrect correction" was my point (it has to do with the original statement, the word "but", and a bit of thinking).

Don't you see, I put together all of the statements and created the ultimate punchline.
