Re: what do you talk about?
Talk about life, friends, hobbies and shit...That's what I seem to talk about with chicks.
Also the occassional compliment wouldn't go amiss.
I emphasise on the word occassional because if you lay it on too thick, they will think you're bullshitting them!

Neutral subjects. Subjects you can agree on, like the weather or sports, or subjects that you can expand upon without offending anybody, like family and friends and people you might commonly be acquainted with.
Avoid subjects which you might disagree on -- the big three are religion, politics, and news (news, since it can contain a striking amount of slant based on the first two).

Re: what do you talk about?
For fuck's sake, your first question shouldn't be, in regards to a Penthouse magazine photo; 'Think they're real?'
Ok, so, it worked on me, but my mate was disgusted and immidietly left. [It prompted a whole conversation on tits from me though]
Stick with neutral subjects until you get to know what she's like more; School/college, movies, books, pets, etc.
The hard part about conversations with new people is how to continue them from just basic Q & A... [Just realizing that now, most of my conversations where started by alcohol/something sexual/drugs, it's kind of awkward otherwise, dunno what else I have in common with these people], so, whatever you do, keep the conversation going. It doesn't matter what with, just make it flow somehow if she isn't.

umm i find you can talk to girls about anything. It depends on the age, I find girls dont really like polotics if they are under the age of 19, and if they are under 18 they like to talk aobut them selves.
umm lets see if i ranked the i would go with
1.music
2.hobbies
3.school
4.sex
5.music
6.what you do "recreationly" *WINK*
7. music
thats if your under 18

Re: what do you talk about?
no, you talk about her, whatever she wants to talk about, whatever she likes. don't breathe a word about what you do or like, keep it completely focused on her. there are a few exceptions, but generally everyone is most interested in themselves.
i can think of only one exception to that rule, but that's a long story.

Re: what do you talk about?
I would advise you on it but I don't think I can. After some work, I can now keep any conversation flowing, no matter how stupid it may be. But I guess it all comes naturally, I just follow some guidelines and my internal cheap talk generator goes online. Give it some thought. Consider what's cool and what's not cool. Make that the base of the pillar. Define your style. I usually make witty remarks on everything I can, instead of making it just normal cheap talk. And keep an eye open - even a bug on the wall can help you start something similar to a conversation. As long as you do it right...
Well I guess I was wrong about being able to advise you. Just fetched this shit from the pit of my subconscious mind .
One more thing, if you think this is a big pile of shit 'cause the whole thing will be meaningless at the end, consider this: 90% of the info you exchange in a conversation is non-verbal. So if you really want to get something out of a conversation disregard the content. Work on displaying positive body language. You're more likely to pick up a girl by showing off confidence and charisma as you talk, rather than talking about the most original and intelligence-demanding subjects.
Cheap talk 0wnz j00
Ah, before I get flamed for fucking up someone's pick up:
"So if you really want to get something out of a conversation disregard the content." - This doesn't at all mean you can sucessfully pick up a girl by repeating BLAH BLAH BLAH over 10 minutes(well maybe). But shit, just Kiss(Keep It Simple Stupid).

Re: what do you talk about?
WOW, id say if a girl wants to talk about herself and thats what you talk about then shes not worth it. My girlfriend would have to be able to talk about something other that herself. like polotics ( i love polotics) current events, life, defenatly music, she would have to have a huge intrest in art, and she would have to be herself.
When i say she has to be herself, she cant be influenced by the media and buy in to the whole steriotype thing, she has to be an individual. ( i mean i know that things influence me, but i try to not let them influence me) she has to be the same way.
and above all she has to like me for me. she isnt going to change me. people have tried but i wont be changed.

Re: what do you talk about?
quote:Originally invented by the original Plato
You can learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
So what does this tell you?
Dudes, turning a conversation into some kind of interrogation is IMO, a low-refinement strategy. Cheap talk is the main course. She will be interested if you do it right, wether by being witty, or whatever your good at. Sentences are composed of several words. Analyze each and everyone of them. At least one will lead you somewhere. If it doesn't(answers consisting of a monosyllabic word), then you might as well give up. If a girl's interested she will invariably say something more than yes or no. Giving you leads to proceed with the conversation. Any idea she formulates is a good lead. Do try to focus it on her. She's bound to say something similar to "what about you?", that's when you talk a little about yourself. Make it simple and positive. Negativity is a no-no. So as your acquaintance progresses, then you might want to ask a few specific questions which makes sense since you've been talking for a while and she'll understand your curiosity(as opposed to asking what kind of shit she's into, out of the blue). You do it right, and her mind will be set on you 24/7. She won't know what hit her.
So a major guideline is, creativity comes from observation, not from pre-planned action.

Re: what do you talk about?
There's no one LIST of topics. But there is one "Rule"......which is to talk/ask about HER!!! Don't talk about YOU, unless it is in response to her asking something.
The only other "Rule" is that if you are being MUTE, then you are definitely not talking about the right stuff!! (hee hee)!!. Love, Venus.
