i've learned that love is like a toaster oven

sure its shiny and useful, its fun to have and to watch

and then it burns you and your toast, and then it blows up in your face!

but finally you figure out that you didn't need a toaster oven, a microwave would have work just as well

Dude in this situation you have to bite the bullet and just say "fuck it!" Tell her how you feel, bare your bloody soul and if need be (most likely) you walk away. You are doing nothing for yourself by being in love with someone that doesn't like you back. You said it was hard watching her flirt with other guys, well why waste your time, why hurt yourself? You are missing some amazing experiences by letting yourself get stuck in her rut.

Go forth and you will find happiness with someone better that does care. You will probably eventually see the faults in this girl you are currently obsessed with.
