Default Question

I was with this girl, it was a fuck buddy thing im 16 and shes 16. I later found out after having sex, i wore a condom, and it was mY first time. The condom Broke but i pulled out long before i even had to ejaculate, and i decided to finger her instead. My question is that should i be worried about stds, her friend mentioned something about she "gets around" with guys a lot? Should i worry about aids or hiv? I mean after all shes only 16. After i found out that she has slept with "quite a few guys", i began to throw up because i was worried about getting an std. I worry a lot and thats why im just asking this question. We had sex last month, i havent really noticed anything, and have talked to friends about it but they just say Dont worry about it. Her friend also mentioned that she doesnt think that she would have any stds and if you want just to go get tested. Should i or shouldnt i? Im just afraid if it comes out to be positive for something . I guess i should have thought about it before i fucked her.

Just get tested and put your mind at ease. It's not likely you have anything, based on what you said, but why worry about it? Even if you test positive for something, it's best to know sooner rather than later.

Don't worry. Get tested, if you're old enough to donate blood they do it for free.

If you had a condom and it broke, chances are you're good since you pulled out. But go get tested anyways, lots of STD's can get treated nowadays if you catch them early on.

If you dont want your parents to know, go to www.plannedparenthood.com (http://www.plannedparenthood.com) look up the local clinic (or check the phone book, places that offer abortions tend to offer std testing or can give you a number of a place that does.) Since you are under 18, planned parenthood usually offers low cost or even free testing.

If you dont mind your parents knowing, or your area laws (sorry i dont know them, if you call the pph near your house theyll tell you) say the doctor can not tell your parents, just go to your pedatrician/general practitioner. It'll cost you the 15$ copay if you have insurance.

Chances are you dont have anything, and i am proud of you for having the brains to go get tested rather than end up with something and then pass it around. If only more people were smart eh? Next time, stick with the less slutty girls!

Agreed. Getting tested would be a very mature and responsible move, and if you are going to be having sex, those qualities are highly important.

Well ive heard that condoms don't always protect against STDs, but then again I was told this by the abstanice people that came and talked to us during health so they proboly exagerated trying to scare us. Yea you should go get tested, and if you pulled out then you should be fine.

condoms dont protect against HPV and Herpes.

What state do you live in? Certain states have laws which say your parents have access to your files, some require doctors tell your parents, and some require doctors don't disclose any information. Truthfully, if i were you, and you are worried about your parents finding out, just swing by a clinic if you can. They do not disclose information, and its probably going to be cheaper.

If you want to know right now, call your general practitioners office and say "if i am a minor, would the results of an STD test be disclosed to my parents or available to them at a later date?

It's worth pointing out that in both cases (HPV-related genital warts and Herpes sores) the skin-to-skin (or oral) contact must be with either the active warts/sores (which are highly visible) or with warts/sores which are invisible to the naked eye (and usually pose a lesser risk of infection).

So, while condoms won't protect against these STDs, a quick visual check of the area and having clean, unbroken skin on both bodies should help reduce the risk associated with these circumstances.
