Best "how we met" story
Here's mine:
When I was going to school in Mahnattan, I had a friend. Let's call her "Pam." Pam was punk as fuck. She had severe ADD and OCD, and was self-medicating with pot. One day, she asked me to go with her to look for a necklace with a Pisces symbol on it. Of course, being Pam, she was looking for *one specific design* and would not settle for anything else. We couldn't find it in the Village, but we *did* find it in a store on 86th street.
We took the subway back to school, since Pam had a night class. What we didn't know at the time was we got off one stop too late and were headed in the wrong direction. We passed by someone sitting on a huge pile of garbage bags, smoking a clove. Pam was the expert at bumming cigs- she'd been practically chainsmoking all day because of the kindness of strangers. I hardly ever smoke, but I do have a fondness for cloves, so I couldn't resist asking for one as well. Plus, I was giddy from our adventures in the magical world known as "outside". I was a bit depressed at the time and didn't leave my dorm much.
A few things struck me about the guy on the garbage bags. First, he had the nicest ankle-length black coat I'd ever seen. I have a affection for really good-looking ankle length black coats, and this was beautiful- split up the back, white piping- truly unique. This was before specialty shops like Hot Topic and Lip Service were popular, so I was really floored. Secondly, the mystery clove smoker had sewed a Christian Death patch over one of the lapels. We got into a friendly debate over who the best singer for CD was, Rozz or Valor (I *still* say it's Rozz). I gave him my email address, since I thought that was a little less intrusive than a phone number, and we headed off for class.
A few days later, he emailed me to continue the discussion on Thelema vs. Satanism conversation we'd started. I emailed him back saying my roommate dealt coke and extacy, and would he like to come over sometime?
Well, long story short (too late!) we broke up after a year and a half together...BUT, we're still really close friends. All in all, it couldn't have worked out better.
Your turn!

Re: Best "how we met" story
My best one would have to be:
While in the pub one night I was talking to a group of girls.
There was one there who was as annoying as fuck.
I told her many times to shut up because she was taking the piss out of my tattoos and calling me a grunger or something.
So we hate each other.
Later on I'm outside getting some air...She came out and started moaning at me and saying shit about how much of an arse I am.
For some reason...I launched myself at her...Lips first!
She didn't fight me off!
We were a couple for a while.
Then I just stopped hearing from her.
Last I saw her she was wandering about with some big black guy and shit.
So I thought "Fuck it mate...She wasn't that important anyways!"

Re: Best "how we met" story
just leaving the a club, the cloak-room attendant asked why I didn´t get a girl this night. There was this stunning lady which said "so you must be a casanova". I just said "no, I´m just the worst fuck in the world, that´s a sensation, your next lover can only be better".
We fucked 20 minutes later in my car and had a relationship of 5 years ...

Re: Best "how we met" story
I was on holiday in Turkey, and i was bored so i decided to follow my step sister to the shop and check out her new friends. When i caught them up a nice polite young lady asked me very nicely if she could have a ciggie. We debated about how it would only cost 30p for a packet but i ended up splashing her. The others walked on and she and i sat on a kerb and chatted while we smoked our cancer sticks.
That evening we chatted for about 6 hours on the sun loungers near the bar, where i eventually fell asleep. Our next evening was our last together and i felt quite upset, and that was rather strange for me. Anyway, our parents got along pretty well, and you know how it is, they always say they'll stay in touch and they never do, but this time they did. Our parents became good friends quickly and we met up a few months later.
We met in Turkey inJune, and met up again in August so our parents could see a footy match together, and in these 2 months she was my best friend, helping me through some hard times with my girlfriend/ex, keeping my spirits up when I was grounded etc. We got on so well when we met up, i felt like id known her for years. I fell in love with her that evening when we were having drinking contests, but i said nothing because i was too scared, and she was seeing someone anyway.
Well we ended up falling in love, like you do, and we saw eachother once in November for my step sis's birthday, and again in December for my mum and step dads wedding where we kissed for the first time.
We told eachother how much we loved eachother all the time, and at the end of december we decided to make the commitment (we live 100 miles apart), and weve bin together and been very happy for a year and a few months
Do i win?
Edit: minor details
