I just got braces on today, and damn they hurt! I'm going to have to have these things on for 2 years...

I dont know how I'll ever even kiss a girl with this metal on me, let alone go down on one.

I wish I would have gotten them on sooner... a lot of my friends have gotten theirs off recently and I just now got them on.

I'm 15 years old, 5'8 125 pounds and a freshman in high school. Fuck, this sucks.

What do you all think about braces?

I think you dun need to be doing that now anyways...

So, in the middle of your junior year you'll have fabulous straight teeth. The average person doesn't get much action during freshman-sophomore years anyways. You're just going to have to cultivate a good personality in the meantime. Horrors!

Just make sure to ALWAYS wear your rubber bands when the doc tells you to (if you'll need them..), and it'll speed it up to maybe like 18 months. It all depends though. And hey, you'll get awesome looking teeth when they're off!

Only problem with braced girls; if they don't brush and wash often enough, their mouths are often very rank and food-laden. Yech.

Yeah A few freshmen got theirs off recently too, kinda depessing that I just got mine ON, but w/e.

Atleast they dont hurt as much as yestarday, and my crossbite has moved slightly.

Did you have to have bondings or filing done once you got them off? A couple of my teeth have small chips in them and the ortho said i'd probably have to get some bondings done when its over.

its not that bad, my boyfriend is a senior and he has to get his braces on soon, which means he'll have them going into college too.

The first time I read that, I thought you said, "with their nose pierced to their upper lip." ::shudders more::

Anyway, no, I didn't need any fillings or bondings, because my teeth aren't chipped or anything. but I did need an appliance thingamabob; it was the most annoying thing I've ever come across in my entire life. It's this big plastic thing that is stuck to the roof of your mouth for 2 months or so, and it moves your teeth back, a lot. And it hurts in doing so. And half of what you eat gets stuck under it and there's nothing you can do.

Oh, and the attachments that it connects to stay on the whole time you have the braces, and they're sharp and cut your tongue to no end. I broke them off with pliars after I didn't need them anymore.

Yeah, braces suck. They suck like a bitch in heat. But you know what? There's nothing you can do, so DEAL WITH IT!

now everyone come on now, on the whole braces aren't that bad at all! i have had them for about 2 years now and the only problem i've ever had is getting my boyfriend's pubic hairs sometimes caught in them when i'm going down on him (no joke!!). while doing the deed i have to pause every now and then to take some out!

But, if u get the right kind of girl, she'll be clean-shaven and u won't have the same problem, and u use yur tongue anyway!

Anyway, i found the attention from guys higher with braces. people find u cuter (..innocence?) and stuff.

Braces are nothing once you get used to then. I hate the look. The pain sucks when i got it. But I get told I kiss great by alot of girls, and i have braces.
