I'm a Scorpio, which means my relationships tend to be *very* intense. The idea of casual or polygamous dating really doesn't appeal to me. A date should be more than just a trophy- it should be a true kindred spirit that likes getting fucked till they pass out from exhaustion. Yes, the intensity holds over to the bedroom

On that note, Scorpios tend to be deeply sexual, to the point of being intimidating. The first few relationships I had were very brief because we burned ourselves out. Having sex constantly has a downside!

Scorpios tend to be jealous and self-centered, too. I used to be quite psychotic in my younger years, but I have a better handle on it now.

I'm a virgo but i like my sex slow and deliberate and with a purpose.

Feh on astrology. Descriptions based on star signs will be correct on some things for everyone; they're also generic enough so that it's possible they'll be mostly or completely correct for a good many. But they're so generalized, what good is it?

And have you ever seen a really negative horoscope? People love that shit because it's so positive, and they want to see themselves in the descriptions, even if it's only slightly true (and sometimes if it's not true at all).

I agree. I'm the first day of scorpio (October 24) and the same stuff applies to me. The self-centered part of my personality just started showing recently, in part because I started taking Zoloft for depression/anxiety. I really doubt that the month you were born in has any bearing on the fact that you act a certain way. Too many things can change how people act. For example, what about a girl scorpio that's PMS-ing? Or in my case, a medication bringing out a side of my personality that most likely would have never shown itself otherwise?



For astrology, I say bullshit. When I first read the name of this topic though, I thought he meant did we fuck in the SHAPE of our astrological sign, in which case it would be somewhat gay/painful for me if I did...

My sun sign is Scorpio, but my moon sign is Pisces, so I have a few traits that Scorpios aren't "supposed" to have...

All your ex did was explain a really narrowed down version of the chaos theory, which basically says everything affects everything, if I'm not mistaken. The only connection I think the lunar cycle has with child birth is that most times babies are born around the time of a full moon, but this is only from my experience so I'm sure there are a lot of exceptions.

Also, if the lunar cycle had anything to do with fetus developement, what makes the month you were born in so significant when that is obviously the time a fetus stops growing inside the womb? I mean, if that were the case, wouldn't the 8-7 month be what determines everything seeing as how (I read) those are the most important parts of a fetus's growth?

Better yet, how come the astrological signs are assigned according to the EXACT days, rather than according to the moons cycle? Am I to believe that someone born on October 23 will inevitably have a different personality than someone born on the 24th because of the supposed effect the moon has on a fetus in ONE DAY?

I like astrology for entertainment purposes. Always good for a chuckle. For some reason, though, I can't resist asking someone their sign.

I've always avoided scorpios 'cause all the best astrology wisdom (oxymoron?) says that virgos and scorpios don't mix. However, my current love is a scorpio, and I get along better with him than anyone I've ever met. Plus, a couple of other guys I met around the same time were also scorpios, and I could see getting together with them as well.

Whenever I tell someone I'm a virgo, they say "Oh yeah, you sure are." Meh.

I just read this whole thread and realized how many fucking Scorpio's there are on totse, its crazy. In my grade there are only like two people born under that sign, weirdness.

Correction: It isn't weird to see so many Scorpios in the "Sex and Affection" forum, because Scorpios are the most sexually charged of the signs.

For those of you who don't believe in this stuff, whatever, it's cool. But if you want to have an open mind about it, I'd suggest getting your chart done, or reading the book "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" by Joanna Woolfolk. I could go on and explain the theories of how the gravitational pulls of the planets, etc. affect fetuses, but I'd rather not bother because I tend to believe that talking can't change people's minds, only experience can. But keep in mine, if more babies are born at certain points during the full moon, why is it so far fetched to believe that the moon/stars/etc. can affect other things as well? Astrology as a science ISNT like shitty newspaper horoscopes, it's an exact science with a bad rap.
