Jeez! I always thought, you might have to shave "Down Below", but I always figured them
devils would never give out razors. And if they did, they'd be dull, dull, dull.

Re: Shaving down below
You need to use a lot of shaving cream and you need to have a sharp razor.
Before you pur on the shaving cream let warm water run over the skin you are going to shave. It will open the pores, hence making the hair easier to remove.
Shave with the grain. Go slowly and carefully.
After shaving, exfoliate. It helps stop ingrown hairs.
Once you are out of the shower, pat yourself dry and apply a good moisturizing lotion with no alcohol, no smells, and no colors. Be liberal with it. Aloe Vera works good on the legs, but you may not want to put that on your pubic area if you are going to put undies on soon after or you will be a sticky mess.

Re: Shaving down below
Neosporin works well after you get out. Baths are always better for shaving, since you can soak for awhile first (opening the pores as aloneandbroken said). and apply lots of lotion, I reccomend Cetaphil.
If you shave with the grain, it doesn't get it all, and that can get annoying. So shave with the grain first, then against the grain, then with the grain again. And always use long sure strokes, never short and choppy.
Edit: If your razor burn actually hurts you, you can rub an ibuprofin or some other equivalent medication with water over the area.

Re: Shaving down below
I think hair conditioner works better than shaving cream, and it allows you to see where you're going. And to echo the above, always use a fresh blade.

Re: Shaving down below
^what they said, i use witch hazel after shaving to prevent all the unpleasant stuff. My only problem with shaving is that the first pass against the grain my i have to do in short strokes at first because the razor gets caught in the hair or something and will cut me if i keep moving it.
not to hijack a thread buuuuut...any ideas?

Re: Shaving down below
Razor gets caught in the hair? Hmm, having a hard time picturing that. If you're shaving for the first time in awhile and the hair is long-ish, you ought to trim it first with scissors. But if you're shaving re-growth and this happens, I have no clue why. Unless you're shaving dry or with just water or soap.

Re: Shaving down below
I shave myself using Suave hair conditioner and a fresh Mach 3 Turbo blade. Two passes with the grain, one against, two more with. I then condition the freshly shaved skin and pat dry. Itching and razor burn are not issues.

Shave with the grain, and soak the skin with a warm towel beforehand.
The sam advice for avoiding razor burn on your face works down there.

Re: Shaving down below
Keep a landing strip. Or better yet, put some icyhot where you shaved. If you decide to go with the 2nd choice, I wanna hear all about it. *snickers*
Non-BS Advice:
When I was getting rid of excess pubic hair I would use an electric buzzer. (about $10.00 give or take) That fucker made quick work of hairball material.
