I was just thinking if you are under 16 and have child porn on your computer are you still breaking the law becouse its just like a man of 30 looking at a woman of 30.You cant be a phediphile if she is the same age as you,or can you?

I've thought of this argument too. If you get caught with child porn, and you're, say, 14 years old, you would say to the 50 year old judge: Would YOU want to look at pictures of women 10 years older then you?

Intresting Situation.

It would depend on the laws in your country/state realy.. im sure there are loopholes, like with anything.

It's the way the pictures are aquired. The children in the pictures are most probably abused by the adults who take them, it can ruin someones life to have this done to them as a child.

You would have it taken from you and asked loads of questions of how you got it, maybe a talk with a shrink of some kind... But I really doubt you would be charged if you were a child yourself ...Just for viewing porn, that is.

If you were out in the park sticking your hand up little girls dresses, then you can and most likely will get charged, and registered as a pedophile or under some other sexual deviant category.

if you are 14 you can look at your 14 year old boyfriend/girlfriend naked. you can also look at yourself naked. you can masturbate, you can fuck them, you can have a grand old time. but if you take a picture of that boyfriend/girlfriend or yourself, that is illegal and you will be called a sick fuck and punished under the law. seems logical doesnt it?

If it is the family computer your mom or dad could be charged.

Actually, under the UK consent laws it is illegal for 2 people under 16 to engage in any sexual conduct (eg anything beyond kissing)

Illegal because in most places you have to be over the age of 18 to view porn...so it's technically not pedophile, just illegal...

I don't know about porn, but I know in Michigan, a 18 year old can have sex with a 16 year old. I can only assume it would be legal to have an 16 take pictures of another 16 year old. My 2 cents.

I really don't see how it is morally wrong for a teenager (mind you I mean 15-18) to want to look at someone there own age. So long as it is with two consenting teenagers (it is ilegel for someone 18 or older to comit sexual acts with a minor in the states) that are in a right state of mind. Although any porn is not legel until you are 18 (in the states), I don't see why you can't just live with watching leagel porn. I mean most the people in porn are 18-21, thats young enough surly. BTW my computer has been free of all porno graphic images since 12/01/03. W00t, now I don't have to get all parinoid when someone else needs to use my computer

Possesing child porn is illegal period and you will go to jail and when your inmates find out regardless if you committed child rape you are a dead man walking.
