Default STD

Well, my friend (yes, my actual friend, not me) has had some unprotected oral sex with her boyfriend, who might have STD's and she found a sore in her mouth. They are white, blistery type things that sting her in her mouth. What kind of STD, if any, could this be?

May not be nothing...Sometimes they just get sores from doing something new...Better to get it checked now tho.

I know you can get some, I'm pretty positive, but I just want to know what it could be? She's getting tested, but just to know anyway...it would be nice.

You could contract AIDS through oral if there is an open sore in your partner's mouth.

HIV can be contracted through contact with infected blood, breast milk, vaginal juice, or semen.

its a nothing. its a cut in ur mouth hence the stinging, and the white stuff is like a scab, but since the mouth is moist it cant dry.

Doooon't worry dude. Just 'cause there were 9,000,000 new cases of STDs in the year 2000.

Amoung the under 25's in the USA. That's like

only 1 in 15 or something, so it's not very likely. 1 in 15, I mean what's the chances of

you or one of your friends even meeting one of those people?

Just 'cause Herpes 1 or 2 can both go top or bottom, does that mean she's got one?

Would you bother playing a lottery, where the

chances of winning were only 1 in 15? You could play forever & never win.

How long ago did she start having unprotected oral sex with the boyfriend? If it was just recently, I doubt herpes would show up that quickly. What STD's does he think he might have?

If she has an STD, its probably Herpes. If she really wants to know, why doesnt she hop on down to her local Planned Parenthood clinic (or even some of these urgent care centers) and ask for an STD test. They are typically really cheap or free. She will know. I think her boyfriend should accompany her and get one too. That way they know what precautions to take and if one of them needs medication.

Young people get sores/blisters in their mouths from exam stress, bad diet and herpes. Syphillis causes a canker (chancre) to form with an ulcerated base that takes a while to heal, either in the mouth or on the genitals, although it's less common these days. (but still needs full treatment because untreated it's bad news)

STD's are common, the biggest ones at the moment being herpes, chlamydia and gonorrhoea.

After a new boyfriend, i usually go on a course of antibiotics at the first sign of itch/soreness/unusual discharge. It's life, and it's usually a small deal if you treat it early.

AIDS is a different story and kind of wrecks everything.

Ok, cold sores are herpes type 1, genital herpes is type 2. You can get cold sores from giving a guy head if he has sores visible on him, or she mightve just gotten a cold sore, because about 70% of all people have herpes, but they dont know it and it can sometimes never show symptoms. You might want to ask him to be tested, or just be careful. If he has sores on his mouth, dont let him go down on you (common sense.) and use a condom.

Chlamydia is at epicdemic proportions on college campuses in Amercia.

It's really easy to get tested for it, though. Just a piss test, and they also test for gonorrhea.
