I don't understand the mentality behind dry humping. What does this get you other than people looking at you funny? Why not do better things like fuck or other sexual things? It's very confusing to me. Someone please explain it

Dry humping is usually a prelude to other things. Start off kissing, grinding each other, feelings each other, than the clothes come off, so on and so forth.

Dry humping can be painful though. You should be mindful if your guy has jeans on because it's likely you'll rub him raw if you do it for too long. Dry humping in tight jeans isn't too fun for chicks either.

I think it is the act of "humping" your partner, by keeping your clothing on, so it is "dry", thus not actually having sex, but perform the moves.
