As some already know I will meet my g/f for the 1st time soon! Aftermany false starts, well 2 ad a half really the half being where the cash was there for the ticket but I got mugged cos I was stupid where I took the cah out and all. Anyway I got the ticket booked for her yesterday after basically working my ass off all weekend to replace the money she had sent.

So she arives here first thing on friday morning and I cant wait and she sounds extremely happy and relieved which is a real good thing as she has had a terrible few weeks lately.

Anywya I just wanted to say that things a re still going good and I have begun an official countdown to her arrival! Well not really but I am looking forward to going to bed thursday night knowing that I see her in person on Friday morning!

Ah the mystery of meeting your internet partner for the first time. The excitement, the wondering "will she hate me as soon as she sees me?" You've fallen in love with each others minds, now it's time to test it in person.

Been there, done that, except I went to see her. It was quite nerve-racking the first time, but not too bad.

I dunno, would it? Considering the last thread you posted, apparently not! Even though you two spend time together and there's that "something" vibe, neither of you can get up the balls to do something about it.

Someday you'll no longer be a teenager and realize adults and adult life get complicated. Finding the "right" person then depends on extending your "search area" beyond your own limited geographical area.

This is modern times. I'd think you kids would be more hip to the possibilities of the 'net.

^^^ Possibly. It's not exactly the "internet relationship" that bothers me so much, it's just the incredible amount of energy and effort he's exerting into it. It could lead to huge disappointment. But maybe I'm wrong. I guess we'll see in a few days.

I know ive been boring some people to death with all this and I do apologise but i have for the first time been nervous about meeting a girl. Especailly like this.

Anyway Deadlycindy etc, thanks for the well wishing and all! I really do hope this works out as well in person as it has on the phone etc.

She is as I write this on her way home from shopping for all her toiletries etc for her stay here.

She was in hospital the other day and her ears were a part of the illness so I hought she might not make it but she says she's ok and would come anyway! She had a longstanding appointment with her own doc today and got a clean bill of health (She has heart problems) and is good to go!

As for her being imaginary..Well Not a chance, you see my imagination great as it is could never have conjured up such a picture of perfection for me!

I will ask her can I post a pic here when she arrives just to show how beautiful she is! Though she used to be a model so that should give and idea!!!

I really am hoping it works out well becasue we do really boh want it to and we have both been going through our own problems these past weeks. I just hope she is happy conming here and getting a break away fromwhere she is now.

As if spending a huge amount of time and effort courting a girl in real life is somehow better, somehow more admirable than doing the same thing, but through a different medium?

Be a little more open-minded.

I have nothing against meeting people online. I've met friends, customers and casual hookups online. But actually referring to one as your partner is just a little... I dunno, sad.

I had that happen once. A girl added me because she saw a site I made. We talked for a bit. We bitched about our lives together, talked about the music we liked and everything.. and I kinda fell for her. It was wierd to really like someone you've never met. :S

The thing is, it can and does happen. I went to meet her (And spent a pretty penny too, I might add). I'm normally the kind of guy who throws himself all out into the fray, but I have to say I was never quite so nervous. I'm also always armed to the teeth, but I left my weapons at home that time. Make sure you trust her that much.

We weren't all that far apart, but it was far enough. I could never do another long distance relationship. I really hope that you have better luck than I did.

Good luck, man! I hope you two have one hell of a time and really click. That's the best thing that can ever happen to two people.

Definitely keep us posted! I need to hear how this whole thing works out.
