Default Question for people in middle/high school.

Back when I was in sex ed (this was six years ago) they had this speaker come in. She explained how a part of the brain was made for us to be monogomous and that sleeping around or frequent masterbation destroyed this part of the brain. Do they still teach this?

If they do I want you all to know theyre lieing. You can have all the wild sex you want with out hurting your brain.

Frankly, if wild sex and masturbation destroy this part of the brain, than we're better off with the fucking and wanking.

I remember them telling us how we aren't wired for monogamy. Which is the opposite of what you said. So yeah, they lie.

Is this for real? think about it, there are two sexes, 2 we have a natural instinct to reproduce. If we were wired for manogamy would you be her asking this stupid question?

That is the most fucking hilarious thing I have ever heard in my life. Holy crap that's fucked up. All they ever taught us was to use a condom, though the cucumber example was a bit much.

No I didnt grow up in utah or go to a private school. This was at public school. Ironically though the teacher was really hot. And during class she'd always take off her sweater and that was really hot.

Actually I'm in health [which is also 'sex ed' if youcan even call it that] in Utah (not mormon don't worry), and these are some of the limitations of the ciriculuum:

The following will not be discussed:

Homosexuality

Contraception or Birth Control

Sexual intimacy

Anything that does not condone monogamous relationships

Anything that does not condone abstinence until marriage

Kind of stuipd, if you ask me. Just because you don't talk about the problem [teen pregnancy] doesn't make it go away. Yea Utah is for rubes.

Also considering that 'monogamy' is basically a Judeo-Christian concept and that people were around before Christianity (you don't say!), I don't see how the brain became wired for monogamy in under 2000 years.

I wil make my own school and I shall call it. Free Minds and everyone will learn for themselves, and there wont be teachers, there will be guides, to guide people. there will be sharp objects and stuff.

I can barely remember sex ed. All I got out of that class (which wasn't exactly a class, it was just a "chapter" in health class) was that abstinence is the only 100% effective contraception. Oh wow, *not* having sex means no STDs, how long did it take them to research that one?

My sex ed class was 2 weeks in the middle of gym class. It was supposed to be 1 week but when you put a room of 25 grade 9 boys together with diagrams of penises and vaginas you can imagine it won't be very productive.

But I actually learned a lot. Mostly about safe sex but some stuff about menstrual cycles, other phase of puberty and even some things about the mechanics of anal sex.

The only thing I can remember doing was that all of us got cards that had numbers on them, and we went walking around the room and greeting ten people and giving them our cards. When we were all finished, the lady told us the cards represented STDs and we found out that every single person in the room had someone else's card. Kind of teaching it to us with a 3rd grade mentality, but I think most people got it pretty well.

Yeah, my sex ed teacher gave everyone a card, but these cards had stuff like ,"you're condom broke, and your girlfriend is pregnant." or "You're girlfriend had an STD, and now you have it."

Well my card said something like, "After having sex, you parents found your condom, and are sending you to military school."

Well I was telling one of my friends how I knew that there was no way that would happen. I would rather use my hand then have sex with a condom (I didn't even know how a condom felt... it was just the macho bullshit stuff), well the teacher overheard me and I ended up in detiontion.

If you want sex-ed listin to Talk Sex With Sue (formerly The Sunday Night Sex Show). Theres a lady that knows it all. It beats the crap out of the school sexual education. Plus when she brings out the sex toys... I find nothing funnier then when a women old enough to be my grandmother is playing around with dildos

All I remember from Sex Ed, is writing secret questions on cards then putting them in a box. She promised she would read all of them, she didn't forethink that.

They showed us a slide show of penises and vaginas with herpes and the clap and shit. A bunch of people vomited and passed out. It was hilarious.

In my health class, my teacher showed us pictures of diseased genitalia which is still capable of making me vomit. Then a week later, he showed us a video of women giving birth. <shiver> My vagina grew its own chastity belt.

Reminds me of Grade 7 sex ed when they showed us a movie of childbirth. Most of the girls freaked out and some said out loud "I am never having a baby EVER!"

mesbekevin, My teacher was the opposite to the one

you had. He said, "back in my day they would tell us stuff about how not to masturbate, and how it was stupid and unhealthy, but thats all garbage. It perfectly normal, and don't believe any of the lies about it"

In highschool I had the same card thing jojabr, and TJTay89 had. Pretty funny though, a friend got one saying "You used a condom but it broke. You now have AIDS!" and he yelled out loud "OH GOD DAMN IT!".

Nobody in my class puked, or left the room at the sight of the STD pictures.
