OK, heres the deal. My crush is going over to my best friends house tomorrow. My best friend and I have been planning for me to talk to my crush while hes over there for a long time, but we can't seem to think of a way for it to be not obvious. Any suggestions?

I have already thought of my best friend talking near him and, knowing his friend, he will ask who it is and then my best friend will tell him and say, "why don't you talk to her for a bit. I have to get the book that I was going to give her on Monday." (He really is giving me the book on monday). It may sound corny, but it may work.

Any other suggestions?

Obvious is good. Just not direct. Even if it is obvious, you can still deny it if needed, and guys your age can be too dumb to take a hint if it is not obvious.

If you are nervious, have your friend ask him what he thinks of you first. There are lots of reasons she can give if he asks why. Things like "someone said something and I wanted a guys opinion" can work well. Something like "I kinda got the vibe you were into her and I wanted to know if I should try to set you up" could work better.

you might want to read some of her other posts in this forum, most are about him. i'll try to give you a briefing... basically this guy is a snobby elitist and he doesn't really like her. she's trying to talk to him, so he can give her a chance or something.

this guy already thinks/knows i am trying to get something going between them, i say it is just as friends. but he always gets really mad when i talk to him about her and try to get information. so for me to give him the phone for any reason will be obvious and he will get mad and probably go into an elitist mood. ballerina doesn't want that, but i think she will have to settle for that.

I don't really like him anymore. I am just trying to repair the friendship after RIGHTEOUSIMPIETY talked to him and stuff. It all went downhill from there. RIGHTEOUS IMPIETY was trying to set us up even before I liked him, so we got off to a bad start.
