Default Flighty Girl

Well, I made up with the girl I'm seeing today. I told her if she didn't stop bringing up a minor incident I wasn't going to see her anymore. She was really quiet for awhile. We went to lunch with my roommate and in the middle of that she said she still wanted to see each other. Much sex ensued (though not in the lunchroom )

She's just so goddamned flightly! She is afraid of commitment and tells me she doesn't want us to be a couple because she doesn't want to hurt me. She wants to "play the field" and meet other guys, having just got out of a 1.5 year relationship with some highschool jackass.

She has a date with some guy tonight. I'm not really comfortable with her seeing other guys though, I know if I told her this she would not want to see me anymore. I guess I'm not sure if it's worth it to put up with her seeing other guys just so she won't run away from me.

I have the option to see other girls as well but I don't really care to, the idea of dating multiple women seems weird to me.

I suggested a rule for our relationship whereby she and I would be like the main friends of each other even if we were seeing other people as well.

That freaked her out! She immediately said that us seeing each other might be a bad idea and I had to do some serious talking to calm her down.

Fuck. I always pick weird women. Fuck Fuck Fuck

I have learned the only way to deal with this is to see others. You must see others. Otherwise, your fate is to seethe as she dates around. Nothing you say will make her want to date you exclusively. However, if she's aware you're seeing others, she will likely feel pangs of jealousy and be more inclined to make a commitment.

At the very least, having other females in your life will make you feel less needy and more inclined to be "light and breezy" around Miss Commitment-phobe.

Well, I think I could if I put in the effort to find another girl. It's putting in the effort that I don't like.

based on this post and the last one i'd say the girl isn't worth the trouble. It might be a lot of work for you to get another girl but having a girl that isn't going to be a drama queen and isn't afraid of commitment is a lot better than the one you're currently involved in. And the jealousy thing like cindy said. If she likes you and sees you having a good time with other girls she might wan to see you exclusivly. That puts you in control of the relationship, usually a good place to be.

If you want to be lazy, then I suggest you find a LOW MAINTANCE girl friend.

Where do I get one of those? The maintance aisle in Wal-Mart?

Seriously though, I'm debating whether or not I want to just stop seeing her and find a girl that isn't afraid to commit.

You're "debating" whether to stay with her or not? No no. RUN AS FAST AND FAR AS YOU CAN! This girl is just gonna mess you up hardcore if you stick around.
