When I was young (3rd grade) lol, I liked a girl all the way up until like 7th. Then in 4th grade two new twins came to our school. She liked one of them and they "went out" if you can call it that back then. They went out up until like 7th grade, and the guy was even my friend too. The whole time I was jealous and couldn't get over her I do not know why. And then the same dude went out with a girl in 8th grade that just went out with me, which lead me to believe he is the reason she broke up with me. Now I'm at a whole new school 10th grade, but I was wondering if my past rejections and that type of shit has made me feared of rejection, which I kind of am, and has kind of messed me up??? Don't get me wrong I can talk to girls, I just cant go strait up to them never knowing them before, and I havent asked out a girl since like 8th grade.....Bring on the flames..

That happens a lot. I don't know about 3rd grade, but as a teenager, one bad experience can make you "shy" or reluctant to approach a girl. Happened to me. Nothing you can do but bite the bullet and just go for it once in a while. The worst that can happen is she says no. If your interested in someone who is a good friend, it's much harder. But if you just met a girl and like her, just tell her.
