Can a friend become a girlfriend
I don't post here much but I need help with my problem. I am friends with this girl who I always thought of as a friend but lately I keep thinking about her in a girlfriend way. I am not sure if I should tell her cause I don't want to lose her as a friend if she doesn't feel the same way about me. I have had a couple crushes but I am so shy so I never did anything about then but the more I think of her the more I think I really do like her.
Please Help

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
I know what your talking about, but in me life I have found out that it is 10 times better to have a friend than a Girlfriend.
I just asked this girl out and I got so much advice from the girl I had a crush on.
All I can say is do what your gut tells you.

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
Just tell her, if the friendship is worth keeping it won't cause the slightest bit of damage, and there's the slight chance she may be interested in furthering the relationship as well.

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
I started posting here for the same reason. I didn't think it was possible for her to want me like that, you know? She did..and I'm not nearly as happy as I thought I'd be..and I know when this is over, we wont be good friends anymore.
Don't take this advice as "don't do it!" or "it wont work!", but just think it through before you make a move. Ah, even if someone told me what im telling you, I still would have taken the same path.
Be honest with her, she's a friend.
Function: noun
1 a : one attached to another by affection or esteem
So..just think about this shit before you try to get in her pants (yeah yeah, you arent trying to do that blahblah).

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
If you are truely friends then you cant, but if she likes you at all there is hope, just talk to her about it.

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
Yes they can.
You just have to make sure that the friendship is worth risking for the sake of having a partner.

Friends make for the best relationships. You can't spell 'girlfriend' without 'friend'.

My current girlfriend was a friend of mine for about 2 years before we go together. It can work, but only if she feels the same way. Best thing to do is get really drunk (both of you) and bring it up. If she says she feels the same then its all good, if she doesn't claim it was the beer talking, or you don't even remember saying it, and that you don't feel that way.

Nah, that's shitty. If you're going to admit your feelings, be a man and do it. Don't let alcohol or drugs or a concussion be your excuse.

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
i have a freind whom ive know for over 3 years now, but only this past month have we had "casual" sex (no strings attached kind). yesterday, i bluntly told her that i would like to keep the sex to a minimum or just eliminate it all together before it got out of control, and ruins our freindship and possibly any others. she completly understood and agreed with me and no damage was done.
if you have known this person for a while, you may want to discuss it with her first before commiting to anything.

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
Having a female friend is better than a girlfriend if you ask me. Me and this chick were together for about 8-9 months and broke it off, and since then we've just been best friends with casual sex here and there, it's chill as hell with none of that bullshit that comes with a relationship.

I'll start believing in the concept of casual sex when I actually see it in action.

Re: Can a friend become a girlfriend
Damnit, I hate everyone's advice on this topic! Worrying about some worthless friendship and shit.
For me, there is no such thing as "friendship" with a girl. Either I like her or I don't.
Now, I have plenty of girls that I pretty much use to get information and other girls from. Perhaps you could call them friends, but I never get that close to a girl unless I really want to "get in her pants."
So if you really want this chick, then go for it and forget about your lame friendship. You have nothing to lose but an awkwardness-free relationship.
Oh, and why the hell does everyone have to think with their emotions?
