Late periods have a variety of causes. In your gf's case, pregnancy is the least of the possibilities.

Is she queasy? Do her boobs hurt? Do her favorite foods seem suddenly unappealing? Does she feel period-like abdominal cramps? Did she have a day of spotting/staining? Those are some hardcore symptoms of early pregnancy.

Of course, too be sure, she can always take a test. Anyone may purchase one at a drug store or well-stocked supermarket.

It does make a difference. Girls going through puberty don't have clockwork cycles. So many things can delay it, diet, exercise, stress, growth, etc. Damn man, don't they teach you kids anything in sex ed? You don't need to panic.
