Ok so i met a girl about 3 weeks ago and i got her email address and phone number,we had been emailing each other for about 2 weeks before we met up,when we met me her my friend(who introduceds us) and his girl friend all went to the movies and we got on ok.Now my friend has told me that she wants to go out with me but wants to me to ask her out,now i like her and want to ask her but i just cant seem to get the words to ask her i just dont know what to say to her.

Basically my guy couldn't find the words... so it ended up one day when a bunch of us were out, a friend came up to us and just said... u guys are seeing Fast and the Furious 2, tomorrow

And we were just like... okay

Basically I'm glad we got together but a part of me wished he had the guts to ask me out himself... but oh well

So i figure if you just ask her she'll be happy no matter what you say, so just get the guts to do it

Well actually, I think you should just think ahead of time, plan your moves, what's going to happen before and after. Plan the words down to every last detail. Then just stop thinking and do it. Get her attention and after you do, you're forced to ask her out 'cause, if you don't you'll look stupid :P. The key is dissociation, get up and do it, think about it later. Act out of your own gut, that IS something that's going to work on your favor, since it's manly to be fearless. Eh well, most chicks like manly guys, so I guess it's likely that yours does too. If you really get desperate, you might try giving a friend of yours an object that you consider valuable, and tell him he can only return it after you ask her out. That should do the trick.

P.S. - Asking by email only makes you look like a wimp. Have some balls dude, you'll thank me for saying this later down the road

Once I got drunk with a guy I really liked and he really liked me too (neither of us knew that at the time). We ended up cuddling the whole night and professing our love and we decided we were going out, lol. So then the next day neither of us knew if it was just cause the other was drunk. So he was just like "So...I guess we're going out then?" and I was like "Uh, yeah, I guess." It was funny.

I'm never waiting for the guy to make the first move though. I waited like 3 weeks for that guy to even make out with me. I think it was cause I was his first real girlfriend so he was too nervous. But then we broke up before I got some, so I wish I had just raped him and got what I wanted, lol.

I don't get it. You know you're on the in, first of all she's been e-mailing you and garbage for a long time, and then you have it on good authority that she wants you to ask. You can't screw this one up! Just do it, and soon before she gets discouraged.

Though it may be the end of the world (who knows), it's not "the end of the world" figuratively for you. Fuck your emotions and get your dumb ass over there IN PERSON and ask her out any way you want. Since she evidently wants you, you have no way to mess it up--unless you pull down her pants, point, and laugh...even then she might still want you.

However, as I tell everyone, even if things do get screwed up, (which they inevitably will in the future, not to bum you out or anything) you still have a big mother sea of chicks out there who are just waiting to "love" you.

You may think that I'm just saying all this just to get you to do it and that I have no idea the whole situation, but I'm serious, if you don't just do it, you'll regret it later.

FUCK. NO. Let me tell you one thing: you should ONLY ask her over e-mail if you want to GUARANTEE that she won't go out with you. You wanna know why? Because not summing up the courage to ask her face-to-face shows how much of a pussy you are. Going up to her, leading her away from her friends or whatever, and asking her, face to face, demands respect. It takes balls to do it, and everyone knows that. Do not, and I mean DO NOT, ask her over e-mail. I'm fucking serious about this. I've had to do it too, so don't think you're alone. We all have to do it. And even when I did that, I was rejected. But you know what? She respected me because of it, and I learned a lot from it. In fact, I'm planning on asking this girl out sometime within the next 3 days.

Can't think of what to say? Then tell her what you think about her. Think she's pretty as hell? Tell her. Come on, you've seen this in the movies enough times... Just keep it short, 5 sentences will do it. If you want to make a good speech, then keep it short, but build it up to a climax. Make sure the proposition is the very last sentence.

Email is good for avoidance. Not the message you want to send. You definatly want to ask her out in person.

If you've been hanging out with her for a while, and you get along good, you're better than halfway there. Usualy when you ask someone out you're going in blind. In this case you've had the chance to do some recon.

I'd probably say something like this: "We've been hanging out for a while now, and it seems safe to say we don't hate each other (charming smile). So I was thinking we should make it offical and go out together.
