Staying off the friend "ladder"
How the heck is someone supposed to keep from being relegated to the friend cathegory? It's just that no one can give me a straight answer on this, I just want to know how to keep from being a friend and get viewed as a potential lover.

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
Lesson 1
Don't fall for someone who's already very involved with someone else.
Lesson 2
When you find someone single, make your move before she becomes involved with someone else.
Lesson 3
When you finaly find someone who make you really and truely happy, never ever ever let her get away.

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
To stay away from the friend zone you have to make passes at her.
Be touchy feely while talking to her ya know?
Let it be obvious from the get go that you want more then what a friend can give. Either if its a relationship or just plain fooling around with her.
If she stares @ your eyes, thats a plain sign she wants what ya got.
Eyes dont lie. So you too, look her in the eye while talking. Make those "damn i wish i could just jump on you right now" kinda looks.
THESE work for me, good luck ..

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
Seems either I or nocuous has to to say this, so I'll take it this time.
Don't be her friend. Don't listen to her problems, don't let her borrow things, don't buy stuff for her, don't do her favors, don't study with her, don't drive her places...and most of all, DON'T tolerate conversations about "what should she do about this guy..."
This doesn't mean you should be rude or unfriendly. It simply means you don't do the things that are associated with being friends. Sure, nice bf/gf (and beyond) relationships can sometimes come out of friendships, but if you look around, most don't.

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
From one hero to another straight up First key thing in avoiding the friend ladder is knowing just how to tell you've become her "friend"
Now most know it...But few know how to remedy it.
It starts off with you getting her digits and calling her...Now most guys make thier first mistake when getting the number...And that is acting TOO friendly.
If you act too damn nice then we all know what you become classified as...That's right...The nice guy...And truer words have never been spoken that nice guys always finish last.
Now the first thing to remember is that when getting the number is that FLIRTING is essential...Below the radar for most but just appearent enough so that she knows that your not afraid to express your sexuality.
Because naturally nice guys are always the ones who are afraid to express thier sexuality thus nice guys don't get none because the girls think they aren't interested in sexual relations.
Basically once a girl has this mentality toward a guy he becomes the one who drives her to the store when her car breaks down...The one who answers the phone and listens to her constant talking about her boyfriend and asking you what she should do...The one who goes over to her house to fix her car/pipes/air conditioner/help her move and all in all through this he never gets any pussy...And as unfortunate as this is it can be avoided upon first conversation with the girl...When striking a conversation with a girl and you know she is single and searching you MUST MUST MUST establish that your not afraid of sex...But don't just come out and say it...Word it in a manner that is both subtle and blatant at the same time...
Like somewhere in the coversation say something like...You know you've got a lot of stuff about you that a man could admire if given sufficient time...So how does one go about getting this opporitunity?
If she says...What?...Meaning she didn't understand then say...What i'm saying is...You've got a lot of features about you that i would like to get a better look at.
It's a lot to read but if you want more info than i can provide go here...

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
Show her you're interested in her, be it subtle or more overt. This is not mutually exclusive with being her friend, but the only way you'll end up on the "friend ladder" this way is if she has no interest in you whatsoever. And if that's the case, being friends is all you're going to get, at least at the moment.

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
im a raver, so I just kiss them, caress them, hold them and shit... two people on e will do alot in eachothers arms
But for the rest of ya not in such a easy pick-up place, the key is in how you speak, for me its being sweet, funny, and smart all at the same time while cracking jokes that let her get the idea of what I think of her. She gets this as she gets a laugh, so its nearly always accepted (unless she has a bf or such shit). Just be yourself, find out what in yourself women like, and practise it more than you wank. Thats my piece of advice.

Well shit, you have just destroyed any confidence that I have ever had about getting a girlfriend.
Those things were exactly what I was doing to get to know girls better.
Now I have no idea what to do.
Thanks Cindy.

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
get in her pants when you first meet her and she'll feel like she has to date you. then just be a great guy and she'll fall in love with you.

Re: Staying off the friend "ladder"
Well Cindy, that goes directly opposite to my strategy, but I'm single and you're not so maybe I should reconsider.
