Default Waving at me

There's this girl at school who waves at me and says "hi" when she walks past, but only sometimes. I say "hi" back to her and wave. Is she flirting with me? I can't stand it when she does it one time and walks past like I'm not even there another time.

She could know you from an earlier grade, and you jsut don't remember her. Chances are she's a sweet girl who's being nice. Why don't you try talking to her?

She definitly sounds like the "Let's just be friends" type.

I think you should just act indifferent to the whole thing no matter how it makes you feel. Talk to her once, but after that leave the ball in her court. If she wants anything more from you, she'll go for it. Otherwise, don't bother.

I'm sure you have better things to worry about than this.

My 80 year old english teacher says hi to every student as we enter class... you telling me she's seducing us? Dude, people say hi. It's nothing to get excited and cream your pants about.

Well wait, do you know this girl? Do you have prior experience with her or is she just some girl you don't know, whose picked you out of how many passing-by hall goers to say hi to?

If you do know her, don't read too much into it. Some people at high school act like the amount of people they say hi to in the halls is like some sort of score.

Yes, she probably is. Those 80 year old English teachers... a shady bunch if I ever saw one!

Why the fuck are you guys all being asses. Think about it, you are 16, just like me and he probably is, you are walking in the hallway and rarely get hit on, and out of nowhere a very pretty girl waves at you with a great smile, that youve never talked to before. MAYBE you guys are right, but still if a pretty girl smiled and waved at me/said hi I might look into it and start talking to her, try to get something going.

Man, calm down. I understand your curiosity.

This behavior could mean any number of things, it doesn't really matter. But if you like her then just go for her, don't worry about whether or not she likes you.

I will add that most chicks who display this type of behavior are usually just whores who want attention from everyone they can get, not necessarily action.

But, as Spiffy said, you really do have bigger things to worry about.
