some women are truly shallow, and some have just been conditioned to act the part. i used to be this really deep, interesting girl who had so many levels. then i got to middle school and i noticed that all the girls who got attention were the ones who dressed "cute" and laughed like idiots and were pretty shallow. at first i thought it was stupid, (which it is) but then i wanted to see what it was like so i tried it.

guys started to pay attention to me, and it was revolutionary.

several years later, in the third year of high school, all of a sudden the same guys who had only been paying attention to girls in tight clothes with shiny lips decided that those kinds of girls were "shallow." they started to treat them with less respect, and wanted to talk to those other "indpendent" girls who wore more black and had more piercings.

the shiny-lipped girls (who had just recently gotten over their eating disorders) were still cool, but now everyone considered them to be stupid twats, just good lays. and i was left in a cloud of dust with them.

the moral of the story? its the biggest cliche in the world: be yourself.
