Unhealthy Relationship?
So I'm talking to this chick today when we get on the subject of her boyfriend. I hate that fucker like no other. One big reason might be because I seriously like his girlfriend, but there are other reasons to hate him. I get the feeling that he treats Karell (the girl) like total shit. Her sister has told me that they'll be talking for hours on the phone (long distance) and Karell won't be saying anything, just crying. Does that seem bad? Given, I heard this from the sister. But when I asked Karell if he makes her cry a lot she said that everything makes her cry (sidestep, anyone?). And when I was staying at her house (parents out of town, I was really more staying there because her sister is my friend) I told her to tell Jake (the boyfriend) I said hi while she was talking to him on MSN. She did and he responded with something assholey, eventually leading to "have fun with your fuckfest. I'll talk to you later. bye." So my question is, do I just hate him because I like Karell, or does this actually sound like a shitty relationship the two of them have?

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
seems like they definitely have some issues to work out ... specially if he makes her cry on the phone but since i don't really know what either of them are like, can't say much on what would help but it does sound like there's somethin goin on between them.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
Maybe this guy doesn't like you. That would explain his angry/jelous behaviour around you. Have a good chat and ask how it's going because if anything she'd be afraid of her boyfriend's response if they broke up.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
It sounds like the problem's with their relationship. This Jake dude seems like he's sorta an asshole, from what you've said of him. And if he is making your friend cry... yeah, something's wrong.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
I dont know what you call it but its the opposite of pussy whipped.
I have a friend who always ends up in the same situation. She says that they love each other even though shes in tears over something he did or said every second day.
Its a fact that some girls do get a horn over assholes and theres not much you can do about it. No matter how many facts you throw at her she wont listen. She has to figure it out for herself.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
seems like its more of you just looking for a reason to hate him. you cant judge a guys actions by how much his girlfriend cries, who the fuck knows why the emotional fluff ball is leaking.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
If they talk long distance over the phone... maybe you should take into consideration that maybe she cries because she misses him... it happens.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
Or maybe, shes just a confussed teenager? I dont know though, the most logical response always seems to be either ignored or wrong.

Re: Unhealthy Relationship?
I've seen worse (read: more obviously bad) relationships, but it certainly doesn't sound healthy. It's the same old story. Whether you like her or not is irrelevant, save to help determine any method you might use to get her to dump his ass (rightly or wrongly).
You might want to get a better feel of the situation before making any judgments.
