time alone?
my current girlfriend and I have been together for almost 6 months now and its gotten t o the point where we see each other like very day and we talk for hours on the phone
then she wonders why we dont have anything to talk about AFTER we've been talking for the past 2 hours...
it feels like my resources are being drained
is it just me or should we spend a little more time alone
...im confused

Re: time alone?
"even though 2 people are together, they still have seperate lives"
its important to spend time together, but again, its also important to spend some time alone, or with your other friends. you arent attatched at the hip or anything. she'll understand that

Re: time alone?
well, there is such a thing as "too much" togetherness but that's more like when you get annoyed with each other ... try talking to her about it too, i mean, after two hours of talking you do kinda run out of like serious conversation topics but you can just start talking about something random ... spending time apart is more neccessary if you're affecting eachother's lives outside of the relationship too much like failing school or ditching family events, that sorta thing ... but be reasonable, cuz really after you talk for a really long time and you see each other everyday you can't expect to have a new topic to talk about every second.

Re: time alone?

Holy....SHit..... I couldn't handle that. I could handle a goodnight phone call perhaps, something like "Hey luffly, just going to bed now so I wanted to wish you sweet dreams!" type deal, but you actually talk for hours? Geebus christo... that's insane. Seriously, how can you stand each other after all that?
Tell her if she wants you to have more to tell her that you actually need to spend some time appart so that you can DO other things worth talking about.
How old are you guys?
My mind is just boggled, I couldn't stand that much of anyone no matter how great they were, and I'm a girl!

Spending time apart is neccessary in every relationship, especially for the guy. Everything may seem fine and pleasant and things are going in the right direction, but that doesn't mean that a person doesn't need time to be autonomous and feel like an individual.
