Default interest or friendliness?

i don't pos a whole lot over here in S&A, but there's nothing of any interest anywhere else on totse right now. so here it is, do you think there's a difference between interest and plain old friendliness? through work, shopping, barhopping, even riding the bus, i come in contact with alot of girls that i'll have brief 5 minute conversations with. sometimes even less. For that brief preiod of time things can feel pretty open, and for the most part alot fo these girls seem really friendly...

now i know from the guys side of this, that most of the girls i go out of my way to talk with i would probably be more than happy to hookup up with some day. if they straight up asked to see me some time after our short talk, i would surely say yes. would you say this is the same from the female point of view. or is it possiible for a chick tto have a spontaneous conversation with a stranger without reason behind it?

if i can get some random to start talking easily, and have them crack a smile at least once, is this signalling interest? i know it is in some cases, but in general whats your opinion?

is there a difference between the sexes here? or ami just to eager to jump every chick who looks in my general direction?

Dude...If every girl I made smile would date me then I'd be like a sheikh of some middle-eastern country with a shit load of wives!

The way I see it if you come across as just being friendly to them with no other motives then that relaxes them and instead of thinking "Oh shit...What does this guy want from me?...I bet it's sex!"...They'll think something like "What a nice guy...Such a sexy smile too!"

It sort of refreshes them to realise that not all guys are arseholes!

A smile is the start of interest, but it takes a hell of a lot more than that to get anywhere. If you happen to have an exceptionally good conversation with one particular girl, inquire if she might want to get coffee or a drink later. You can't help but show sincere interest if you do this sparingly, which helps quite a bit (although the more cautious may still wonder what you want from them).

But to start, it's exactly like psycho said. Simply being friendly will put a girl at ease, which is the best starting point.
