Default What to get HIM for Valentine's Day

Yes, it's that time of year again. Love is floating in the air and all that good shit. Anyway, besides lots of sex, I don't really know what to get my boyfriend of 2½ years for V-day. He lives at college (which is 2 hrs. away from here) and is 18 years old. I was thinking about getting him like a 48-can case of beer. LoL, romantic eh? What do you guys think?

What does he like (besides sex), does he have a favorite team, a hobby? Think about it a bit more...

why are you trying to go beyond sex? if you cant think of something, anything that this guy likes, i feel sorry for a wasted 2 1/2 years. generic gift ideas are lame. either get him something that he specifically wants or bite the bullet and force yourself to have sex with him.

^^STFU, moron. You know nothing. It's obvious you put absolutely no thought into a damn thing you say or do. You're the mental case shouting nonsense on the street corner that isn't even aware of how much he stinks. Go take a bath.

As for the gal who posted this thread, I know a lot of guys who would seriously appreciate a couple of cases of beer!

So let me get this straight. All you guys really want for Valentine's Day is sex and beer?

I guess simple minds really are easily entertained...

You're also talking to a lot of lonely motherfuckers.

That said, a good many guys really are that simple. If you can't think of anything else he might want, beer and sex might be good enough.

NO, I want sex too but i also want something cool, like something that she made. I sewed her a pillow and made her a candle.

BE ORIGINAL. I know i think about more than beer and sex. ( well at least beer)

A perfect gift for any woman... http://www.libida.com/content/shop/toys/item.php?product_id=001015

Anyway, beer does sound good; but don't get him a case of Budweiser. That's just trashy. Get him some quality beer. I'm sure if you just made a thread in BLTC about what are the best brands of beers you'd get at least 100 different responses.

Either way, a homecooked meal does sound nice.

Cook him a nice meal, and then try to suck it back out of his cock.

Food, and head. Any sane guy would be in fucking heaven...

I know I would be.

I almost agree with Mrman. If you can't think of anything by yourself and have to turn to an internet forum to get a gift idea for a person they don't know anything about from people you don't know anything about well thats just... pathetic. Its a gift from you, not TOTSE.

Comments such as this are pretty pointless. Forums and message boards in general are for the exchange of ideas, thoughts and informed opinions. S&A in particular has a quite a few regulars who help each other out.

It's unfortunate that some use this medium as their personal dumping ground. If you think it's pathetic to seek advice here, I'll keep that in mind next time you post a thread.

Wait, so it doesn't show a lack of creativity to ask people who have no idea about you and your boyfriend? Sorry, but if I get something from my girlfriend and she told me she got the idea off of an internet forum, it sort of takes away the luster. I like to think that what I get my girlfriend has some special bearing on the relationship and actually came from my heart. Maybe its just me and mrman who think this way, but I always assumed origionality was the way to go.

My girlfriend is giving me a grey teddy bear with a blue nose...Seems to be the latest fad or franchise!

I'd prefer beer myself...Or a GOOD bottle of Polish Vodka!

But I don't mind...As long as it's something that she gets me, then it's special.

Forgive me for this one if it offends you in any way...But I knew a guy who was over the moon one Valentine's day.

He phoned me up that day and was overjoyed to recieve a gift-wrapped box containing a pair of his girlfriend's worn undies.

He was a pretty strange guy!

She never said anything about creativity, or the lack thereof. Sure, it's better if you can think of something yourself, but consider it from this angle- wouldn't you rather get something kickass, even if it was taken from an idea from someone on the internet, rather than the same old uninspired bullshit everyone gets?

Gah, I've been dreading V-day since the stores started displaying heart-themed merchandise. I hate random "holidays" where there's pressure to do something specific. When I finally brought this up to my bf, we laughed, found we were in total agreement, and let each other off the hook. For us, every day is V-day.

It seems silly to do something special when we live together and enjoy each other's company on a daily basis. And since we're making a concerted effort to save our money for bigger and better things, spending on frivolous items doesn't make much sense.

Someone posted this last year, can't remember who but it's very true :

quote:

Why make a big deal of V-day when its every other day that really counts? If you you don't make the rest of the time special then what's the point in V-day?

Or something like that, you get the gist. I haven't gotten a Valentines card since 6th class though, maybe that's why I'm not really bothered by it.
