Girl's Stories
Have you ever noticed how most girls explain everything in a story? You ask them how their day went, and they tell you, but then they also add when they woke up, what kind of shampoo they used, how their friends are being bitches, what they ate for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. It isn't just 'How was your day?'... "Fine, thanks." Its 'How was your day?'... "Its pretty good, I woke up at 6, my hair was all screwed up, you should have seen it. After I woke up I took a shower, oh I used a new shampoo I got, it smells so good, here... smell my hair. Doesn't that smell good? Anyway after that I..." blah blah blah...
Anyone know a reason for this?

Re: Girl's Stories
Not all girls are like that. Most, but not all. A lot of guys are like that too.
Like those people who keep online journals or "blogs." Goddamn morons. What's so interesting about your life that you think the world is gonna read it? No one cares that you're having a "crappy" week. No one cares what retarded emo-song you're listening to and no one cares that your mood is currently pensively confused. Emo kids. Don't get me started.
Sorry, I got off on a rant there.

Re: Girl's Stories
yeah...i happen to be one of those girls who don't do that. that's one of the reason's i hang out with guys more than i do with girls; a, because they don't shut up about relationships and who's going out with who, and b, because i really. don't. give. a fuck. about other pple's buisness. go tell your story to someone who cares.

Re: Girl's Stories
Yeh, not all girls are like that... but the ones that are certainly are annoying.
My days are rarely ever exciting enough to warrant a full play-by-play recap.
I do more of a Game Highlights kind of report if something interesting has actually happened.

Re: Girl's Stories
Yeah, I don't understand why girls are like that either. I don't do it, unless something amazingly interesting happened to me that day, not just because "omg, I like, got new shampoo!!" or something. I just had this clever idea of taking everyone like that, ripping out their vocal chords, and then they can just sit there quietly and only be useful when needed. Hmmm... I like it.

Must be some kind of Totse phenomenon... none of the chicks on this board are like any of the airheads you boys seem to meet in real life... find a new crowd.

Re: Girl's Stories
^That's not fair. You left out Pretty Pinay, AKA Venus. And I remember some chick named Starcat69 or something. God, I couldn't stand her.
The average totse-minded chick is rare. That's why there are so few of you here.

Re: Girl's Stories
My g/f is like that sometimes but also has her days normally when she is "Out of Commission" when she won't talk at all about anything! She will go on about something in thta case only if I almost drag it out of her!

Yo, Mackofett, buddy, you're starting to freak me out. You've never met the girl. It's not a relationship. And you're incredibly obsessive. But what do I know, noone listens to me.

Re: Girl's Stories
That does sound quite familiar, I gave up on asking people I don't really like how they are, or how their day was. It tends to lead to something I really don't want to hear. The way I see it is if I don't have the tolerence to listen to how other people's boring day went, then I obviously don't have the tolerence to tell how my boring day went. If asked the response is usually as follows:
"How was your day?"
"Just another day, same old."
Nothing happens thats usually exciting enough to talk about.
[Edit] Oh, and to actually answer the question girls take "How was your day" more as "What did you do today?" By switching the meanings of what you actually said it gives them a chance to further listen to themselves talk. Which in most cases females utterly enjoy.

well, not all people have those for attention, some people just use it as their outlet to get stuff outta their system and are too lazy to do it by hand cuz typing is just that much faster and easier, so yeah. but you can definitely tell apart the one's where they talk as if they actually want people to know instead of just letting off steam or w/e.

Re: Girl's Stories
Interesting you should mention attention craving... I didn't. Although, I do believe that is partly the reason.
And I'll agree, typing is easier than hand writing, so they won't get any flak for that. But if isn't for attention, why the hell do they put it on the Internet!?
That's what I thought.
