Default Im a boy, shes a girl

Well its like 2:00 AM because I have sleeping problem but anyway. I'm new to my school this year, but I am a semi-popular guy since its just a city over from where I lived before. I got my friends and groups and all. The thing is I ALWAYS see beautifully good looking girls all the time. Now my standards aren't very high, i just like nice attractive girls. But then theres Sophie. Shes in my english. She could have ANY guy in the school she wants. Everyone in the class is cool with her except like me. Now I think im an Alright looking guy (7 on facethejury). For some reason were half way into the year and never talked. I've read to ignore girls you like and to stait up talk to them...But its not so easy. People would say "Grow some balls" typically but I dunno. I wish the teacher would give us an assignment where we work in pairs or something. I hear people say all the time, you can get any girl you want just gotta know the moves and try hard enough. But its not just this one, basically I don't talk to any of the girls i like in my classes, but they talk to the old nasty ratty ass guys. Whats with disss. I mean Im not shy i just dont want to make it obvious by talking to them out of nowhere one day......Im tired so this post is kind of fucked up..but just be in my shoes, you porbably have before.

You don't need to get an assignment together, just talk to her. Your english teacher an old man that gives lots of homework? After class say to her, damn I hate all the homework that [name] gives us. She'll probably respond out of interest or politeness. Try to keep on that subject for a little while so she doesn't see it as a pick up line, or go right out and ask her to hang out with you sometime.

Good luck!

And get some sleep, girls don't like crusty crap in your eyes.

Dear xosfsx,

First off, you are right, with your "grow some balls" comment - It is truly the only way that you will ever have a chance with "Sophie" there. And the brutal truth, unfortunately, is that's all you have there is just a chance, and probably an ultra slim one at that, if this girl is all you say she is.

that being said, you have a couple options - either keep obsessing and fretting about it like you are currently doing until you get all wacked out in the head, or go ahead and do something about it - I would recommend the latter, cause even though chances are damn good that you will get shut down, most girls (despite your fears of public ridicule and the like!) are actually real nice about shutting guys down, at least the whole thing will be out of your system by having a definitive answer, and of course, not to get your hopes up or nothing, but there's always that 1% chance that you have approached her in just the right mood, in just the right way, at just the right time. =)

- an added benefit of getting shut down by girls, by the way, is that it makes it easier to take the next time it happens, which leads to it being easier to face the fear of rejection, increases the ease with which you approach women in the future, which in turn increases your chances of getting a girl interested in you in the long run.

i know it's a lot to read, and even harder to apply in real life, but hopefully theres a few good points there for ya!

Sincerely,

buddy9

Thanks for all the tips. Yeah I know crusty eyes are nasty I try to wipe them good but Im like an isoniac some nights. I am not like obsessed over her and I dont like watch what I do and be perfect. I just be me. Even if I don't have a chance haha, it will still be cool talking to her everyonce in a while. I fouind out though if you just pretend its an ugly( sorry to be blunt) or girl you arent interested in, or pretend its one of your guy firneds, you can talk alot easier.

I feel like its me writing that with the names different. Although I do have a girl named sophie in my english class, shes ok looking and pretty nice (she's a twin to). but i feel the same way about another girl in my class. We're in the same boat here so dont worry, your not alone.
