A terrible dillemma
I have already asked COUNTLESS friends about what to do in this situation, and now im taking my last minute advice from fellow totse members. Ill try to keep this short even tho its actually pretty long.
I am a sophomore, and i see a lot of girls in my school that look pretty but i hate them cuz they are mostly either sluts or just plain fucking annoying. I have become rediculously attracted to TWO girls in my entire school. I must say that they are much like outcasts, as they dont really fit into any of the retarded "popularity" groups. One girl is white, i dont know her real name, so ill just call her Gwendle (yea haha, what a shitty name), the other is black, i know her name but ill just call her Nida. Both of the girls are freshmen, so im a year older then both of them. Nida isnt like one of those loud-mouth, ghetto, bad attitude sluts like a lot of the black girls that go to my school (no offense! its just a big true steriotype). She seems like a really sweet person, and maybe a little more fun then Gwendle. Gwendle i appreciate for quiet, sweet charm. I think they are both probably really smart, while im fucking STRUGGLing with grades.
anyway, enough bullshit. The problem is, they are best friends. I know this cuz they sit right next to each other at lunch! What a fucking drag! I like both of them equally, and i like their looks more than any girl in the school, or even any celebritys/pornstars/actresses whatever. Both are great, i just dont think ill be able to choose just one tho! Im not some kind of player either, i would never go out with a girl just for sex (im a virgin anyway) and i dont even want sex, thats the last thing id care about. Its just so hard to decide. I feel like i could at least talk to Nida, because on her backpack i see some "common interests" heh, which i could at least start a conversation about. I dont want to feel like i am USING her to get with Gwendle tho.... Im afraid if i try to flirt with both of them, ill get shutdown by both, and then ill just be completely miserable. I think in like two weeks im just going to ask Nida if i can sit at her table next to her. Nida sits next to Gwendle, so its like
Me - Nida - Gwendle
and id be facing two other girls which i dont like their looks at all. My friends who totally understand what im talking about tell me that i need to talk to them to see about their personality.
Anyone have advice? I know its probably a bitchass to read all that shit, but if anyone is bored id ask that they please help me out, cuz i really want to have a great relationship with at least one of them.
in the back of my mind i really hope that they are bisexual haha, but i really doubt it. Only in my dreams.
thanks in advance
-j5
(ps, sorry about that awful fake name gwendle, my friend and i both agreed that we should call her that so that when i find out her real name ill be extremely releived hah)

Re: A terrible dillemma
get to know them both as friends and then sit at their lunch table. talk to both of them, hang out with both of them, and then see which one responds the best to you.

Re: A terrible dillemma
You could also sit across from them.
Try not to overthink- a near-impossibility at your age and level of experience, I know, but it'll help. I know you like them, but forget about that. Just get to know them. Since it seems that you know little about them, it's very possible you're going to be drawn towards one more than the other. Perhaps you'll end up not liking either one. But there's no sense in worrying yourself about "using" one to get to the other when you don't even know how you'll get on with them in the first place.

Re: A terrible dillemma
And if they both respond to you, you're in for some potentially teary-eyed drama in the weeks ahead.
Get to know them and pick the ONE that you find the most compatible or have the best chemistry with. It could very well be that one will like you madly while the other doesn't. Or, you never know, your whole bi-girl fantasy might play out.

Re: A terrible dillemma
Dude, although I can appreciate your 'problem', no one here is going to be able to help you. We don't know what these girls look like or what their personalities are. Get to know them both and decide for yourself. It doesn't matter that they're best friends. If you gel better with one than the other then there's your answer. If it happens to be Nida, and it causes friction between her and Gwendle.. there's not much you can do about it. If they are best friends it probably won't. Are you sure you're not 'fantasizing' that they both have the hots for you? That's the only way I see a problem arising, and even then it's their problem, not yours. You aren't doing anything wrong by trying to see who you're more compatible with.

Re: A terrible dillemma
Dear johnney5,
Honestly, probably the best thing you could do in this situation is to take a step back from the whole thing and regroup for a bit.
if i could point out a couple things from your post - you are very attracted to 2 girls, yet you don't even know the name of one of them, and it doesn't appear that you have really spoken to either of them at any length, if you are taking your common interest clues from looking at a backpack. Yet, you have asked COUNTLESS friends about the situation, even posted a big story about it on a web board, and expect to have a great relationship with one of them.
Doesn't quite fit, does it?
anyway, take a step back and as Spiffy said, try not to overthink, just take baby steps at this whole situation.
start with little things like making eye contact with a smile, saying hi from time to time, making small talk (hey, i like that band on your backpack too!) asking about their weekend, and so on - after that is all out of the way, i think you will have a better idea of what to do, who to pick, and all that other stuff.
there's a progression to these things - unfortunately you can't just jump from not knowing a girl's name to having a great relationship with her overnight (or else I'd be married to J-Lo tomorrow!)
once you take the first step, the next ones become easier, too - the important thing is to keep moving forward with things.
anyway, good luck, and try not to think so long term like that, as hard as that sounds.
Sincerely,
buddy9

Re: A terrible dillemma
wow GREAT responses. I know its pretty stupid but im getting really obsessive about it, which buddy9 said. Today i was releived to find out tht since its a new marking period they are still in my lunch period and because i was so lucky i have to take advantage of that luck. Im not just gonna look at them and shit like i usually do. I am setting a date when i am going to just sit with them.
Although i was happy about that, im kinda pissed cuz i got a saturday detention for using my cellphone, plus my mom has to go pick it up... sucks a whole lot. Long story short anyways.
Thanks people, i know its retarded to ask questions like mine in a forum for other people to control your life or whatever, but these suggestions REALLY helped me out heh. Ill get back to this topic or a new one if i have to, hopefully it will turn out well.
