Default Valentines and an ex...

Valentines is coming up, and me and my ex are "working out our differences, and on our relationship." We are not together, but were trying to see if their is still something.

With valentines coming up I want to do something special, but I am on a limited budget (about 20-25 us $). I plan on making her a love song compilation (she loves that kind of thing) and I am open to suggestions of songs to be on it. And any advice on what to get her, or do with her??

The best thing i see to do is spend time with eachother. Doesn't matter if it's an expensive restaurant, a football game, or a movie with popcorn in my basement. With that $20-25 get her a gift, along with the singing. And sing a song that she likes, not something that everyone sees as a love song. It's not special if you don't do it yourself.

A football game? I dunno if that would go over so well with her. And thanks somehow I didn't even think of renting movies and staying in! In all the comotion of valentines, I just thought of expensive places and going out. Thanks!

Come on...that is not as limited a budget as you think. Where do you live? I am sure that you live by a beach, park, or woods etc. Take her on a romantic picnic. Put all the yummy food you make her in a basket along with a rose in a small vase (you can get those at Walmart for all of 3 bucks). Or take her out on a late night stroll to look at stars. When you get to some place romantic, stop and cuddle (bring a blanket). Its really cute. If she likes chocolates or anything like that, you should definatly have some money left to get some of those too.

Also, what kind of music does she like. R & B love songs? rock love songs? Ballards? tell me and i can give you a bunch of songs.

Well, I live in upstate New York. Their is a foot of snow on the ground outside right now, and I doubt it will be getting warmer any time soon. So I doubt a picnic is in order. I was thinking along the lines of taking her out to a movie (as I just scored two free movie passes ) and then back to my place where I can cook dinner, and watch some older movies, she seems to fancy them. I am trying to figure out what her drink of choice is, without coming out and asking her, as I am trying to keep my plans a surprise.

As for the music, she has quit a varied taste. For example her CD collection has everything from Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, and Incubus, to Enya, eve 6, and some R&B stuff. She even has some lower class brats. Pretty much the only genres off limits are country, and gangster rap. And I am a bit iffy on metal, I know she has listened to it with me, but I wonder if she enjoyed it.

Any suggestions will checked into, and I can pretty much tell if she would like. I just want something besides the same old love songs. Suppose that is still a little vague, but any suggestion welcome.

watch Casablanca. It's an overall fantastic movie, and its also a GREAT romance. Girls tend to love it, and she likes older movies.

Do you have any idea of what she drinks? If you really cant figure it, go to you're local liquor store and ask about what kind of wine fits your planned meal. Girls, for the most part, like wine.

On the basis of love songs....here's a couple

Radiohead - true love waits

Jim Croce - Time in a bottle (fantastic set of lyrics right there)

Crush - Dave Matthews

Kathy with a K - Bright Eyes (it takes a special sort of person to like bright eyes, but the lyrics are killer)

the eighth day - The June Spirit

thats all for now...love songs make me sad..

I found out that the best love songs for her would be mainstream rock she goes nuts for these things. Bands such as eve 6, lit, foo fighters etc.

Does anyone know some good ones by those bands, or similar ones?

Me and her are not in a hotel getting situation. We're more just seeing how, and if, we can get along. That is why I want everything to be nice for her.

If she's a fan of Foo Fighters put the acoustic version of 'Everlong' on your cd.

Incubus 'Stellar' is alright.

Me First & The Gimme Gimme - 'Nothing Compares To You' is pretty cool if she likes punk (and I use the term lightly) music. Oh and also The Ataris - 'IOU One Galaxy'.

Yellowcard did a cover of that Michelle Branch song 'Everywhere'.

3 Doors Down 'Here Without You' is kinda lovey I think.

All those songs are sweet but aren't your average, corny love songs. Hope that helped and good luck with it.

I am also thinking about getting her flowers. Maybe delivered to work or home, or school. I was wondering, do girls actually like that? it seems like what everyone does, so does it work?

^me either. Somehow her fat friend who hates me talked her into dinner. Well how can you surprise someone with dinner if they have plans? She also invited a guy.

Well a couple hours ago she got a new boyfriend.

The fat friend hates you because you don't give her any sort of attention and likely excluded her from anything you and your ex did. EFG Syndrome....Evil Fat Girl Syndrome. Every decent woman has a fat friend that is jealeous of every person they date, so a hatred for their boyfriend grows quickly causing them to attempt anything possible to end the relationship. Sorry man, you got cock-blocked by a fat chick.

Yeah the fat friend deffinitly hates me. Maybe my bitching about her always tagging along had something to do with it. Damn bitch, can't get guys of her own and gets jealus of her friends and has to fuck their shit up.

Although in a fun bit of irony the fat chick hooked my ex up with a little pussy (and as i am quit small, i can still say this kid is a sissified wuss with confidence) Same kid about two years ago i took the love of his life. What goes around comes around, I suppose.
