alright, before i make myself sound 100% horrible with girls, i'm going to say. i easily converse with girls daily, and i have hooked up with a few. i don't have problems in some settings getting girls. like the bar etc etc. but there's already a layed out set of unwritten rules for that sort of situation...

the deal here is that i'm totally struck by this cute little punk/emo chick that works at the local video store by my new apartment. and for some god damn reason i can't find a way to make a move here, or subtly hint my interest at all. its like, i come in, rent my movie, and out entire conversation is

"that'll be 5.75, and it's due back tomorrow at 6, bye"

any suggestions on how i can get this girl talking, and more importatly keep her talking? I haven't got a problem being myself once the conversation gets going, but for some reason i just haven't been able to crack one open...

thats the thing, i'm new here, i don't know alot fo people in the area. i only know her through her work. its the only place i ever see her. i don't know where she hangs out, what she does, or if she even lives in the area. and i am not prepared to go into psychostalker mode to find out, just so i can casually bump into her at her favorite hangout...

what i'm looking for is a suggestion on how i can fire up a decent enough conversation to grab enough interest from her to get her to and outside location where we can get into a deeper conversation. if i could just get her talking a little bit for a few times i'd gladly ask her out for coffee or something to talk more away from work...

stalk her for a few days. wait outside her work until she gets off and follow her around. see where it is that she hangs out. then after finding out her routine, just happen to bump into her. and be all like "hey! what a coincidence!1 you're that girl from the video store"

grab a couple of videos and ask her which one is better...or something. get her talking about movies.

...dosent work at supermarkets though. trust me.

i've got the wrong fucking video girl talking to me. lol.

i dropped by with my roommate to rent movie the other day, and this other chick that usually works the same shift as the one i'm interested in, goes off talking away about how great the director was, so i fugred what the fuck and talked with her for a while. maybe she'll be able to help me out somehow. or at least i could use her to drag her friend into a conversation some day.

i guess i could be worse off. bleh whatever

thats just my update on how things are working out. movie goes back in two days, i'll see what happens then...
