Default One choice, three options...

Well, I'm going to hit on my friend, definite on that, but she's just started seeing a guy. Their first date went well, yadda yadda.

I have threee things to say:

1. "I'm beginning to fall for you."

2. "I'd really like to go out with you some time."

3. "You seem to have a man right now, if things don't work out with him, give me a call if you want to try a relationship with me."

Due to the nature of her and the statements I have to choose from, saying one would close me off from saying the other two even though I'd like to say all three.

I'm thinking #3 would work the best because it's not too direct, would leave some sort of an impression, and wouldn't make our friendship too awkward as it's just OPENING an option, not eliminating one to create the other. Plus...it seems a bit intriguing, possibly even enthralling.

If #3 is my choice though, I'd probably follow it up with, "I'll talk to you then."...arrogance though may be a problem, but it sounds confident to me.

Anyways, suggest revisions to what I could say or give a little advice. I should see her pretty early tomorrow so I'll be decided by tonight, get your thoughts in quick, eh?

1. I know a few great couples. You know how they started? [wait for reply]. They were really good friends at first, which would make the relationship that much more special. So do you think we could give us a try sometime?

Tou need to ask yourself are you only interested in her cos she is now with this other person before saying anything! If the answer is no and you do like her then you are better off forgetting about playing the mind games and just coming out with it straight and to the point.

I was in the same situation before. I was with a girl one night and wanted more. Didnt see her for a few weeks after and she ended up with a guy she used to be with and so I went to him and asked was he serious about her he said sort of! Anyway I went to her then and she sort of went a bit quiet, it ended up with me waiting a few weeks for her to tell him where to go and come to me telling me she was sorry but she was actually scard to break up with this guy though she didnt say why I assumed he was hitting her as I had been told as much by her friend! Anyway I hit him and that caused alot of shit not with her she was happy that someone cared enough to do something but all the shit and emotional crap could have been avoided if I went straight to her and told her I wanted a relationship with her! I know this because she told me thta she wanted me to ask her but when I idnt get right to it she thougt I wasnt interested. Point is she was the first love of my life and I ended up with her for a good while then we split then a few years later got back togethe but she really taught me a whole lot about relationships and all! And I would still to this day do anything for her as we are stil lvery good friends, so dont be assuming that you will ruin a friendship as that might never happen!

Whichever approach you use doesn't really matter.. she's just started a relationship, or dating, another guy... if she's interested in him, and not you it isn't promising.. if she's got something towards you, could be worth a shot. You won't know unless you pursue it. Being as she just started this with the other guy you've got a 50/50 shot. I say go for it, what have you got to lose?

As for the person making the 'queer' comment... I'd say you have a promising career opportunity with David Duke and people of his kind... just a thought...

She's dating him... she's not dating you... so why would she want to stop with him and go out with you? You might have a better chance at getting with this girl if you camp out the term of the relationship otherwise you'll probably get the "let's just be friends" which would be hard to ever take further.

You're a loser. Why don't you let her that guy have her. You had the chance before. Why don't you go get some other girl?

All 3 choices are good, but i'd use choice #3 maybe over the phone or something. And 1 or 2 for in person, on a friday or something, to give her something to think about over the weekend. #3 does seem like the best approach incase she's going good with the guy's she's dating.

i swear, you guys would flounder without me.

heres what to do. dont say anything like that at all. keep close, stay flirty and shit. but dont make a move, because she'll tell the guy, he'll get bitchy, and she'll put you at a distance. wait it out. wait for the right time, when she's single again.

as usual, eyesore is right. Some girls would find that terribly insulting, especially if she told you things went well. You could end up telling her and she will get pissed and yeah...that will go bad. If you stay flirty and close, and she digs you, she will be willing to go for you.

Mention things like how much you like cuddling or say how you really love making out if she seems to be into you and yall are alone together and connecting. You can only pull that shit once or twice, so be sure to not fuck it up. If she has any game what-so-ever (which given that I'm guessing your about 13, so is she, hence she most likely doesn't) she will take that as an open invitation to cuddle you and/or make out with you. Then, she will know you are interested and not just flirty. But still, dont make a move. If she wants to get with you, she will leave said guy. Then you're go.

hex, well first ill agree with eyesore because (he/she) is right. wait till they break up. second, all 3 choices are horrible. All of them will communicate to her that you want her, and according to female shit that goes on, shell play hard to get and fuck with your head. If you act with more sexual tension and shit, like not let her know if you like her or not (hot and cold. look in seduction archive) shell like you alot more in that way. if you come out and tell her, she might find it cute, but youll kill the attraction.

Well, you are friends right? If you used the 3rd option, you'd kind of throw it out there and probably just have to wait on her. It seems that you are more of acquantances rather than friends. If you indeed are acquantances, the 3rd option would be fine. If you are friends, then I would go with option 1. You couldn't just throw that out there though. You would have to have a conversation following it.

Also, I hope you understand the difference between a female friend, and an acquantance. Acquantances know each other by name, probably exchange a few words here and there, but don't have a special bond. Friends, have that bond.

If you are friends, then just consider you might lose that friendship, and your relationship all together. You'd be taking a risk, and if it goes well, you gain a lot. However, if it fails, you could lose it all.

My group of friends are...forgiving. I could probably kill one of my friend's parents and have coffee with them several days later with no grudge. And we are actually friends...whole emotional bond and that kind of crap.

And to who said I was 13, heh, nice. Never met a kid online with decent spelling or grammar before, so why now? Plus, I very damn well know the difference between an aquaintance and a friend. I have no aquaintances; you either know me and hang out with me quite a bit and know every detail you need to know, or I won't speak to you much at all, if ever. My friends know they're friends, and others know they mean nothing to me.

My decision: I've decided on an indirect appraoch as to just show interest without actually trying to do anything other than being a friend to her.
