How well do you know your neighbor? If you're tight buddies, you might off-handedly mention you've seen his daughter walking into the house. I'd be very wary about mentioning the sex stuff. Even if you're good friends, he may not appreciate the mental image of you playing Peeping Tom to his daughter's adventures.

It would be hard to get the "good Samaritan" law to apply here since the "victim" is not actively calling for help. Plus, when in doubt, "deny everything." "Knowing a minor is being corrupted" isn't exactly a law or statute, though the wording may exist in the context of other laws. I'm obviously not a lawyer, but I doubt anyone here is.

truthfully, in a court theirs a good chance that it could be considered aiding and abetting to statuatory rape. (especially since it has repeatedly happened). Knowing about any illegal activity and not reporting it technically is not allowed. But, if you dont tell the parents and the girl doesn't realize it, you're pretty much in the free.

if it was me, i would just learn to ignore it , and dont tell the parents. As cindy said, you could tell them that she is coming home early, but if they happen catch her with the blinds open, they'll know you could have been watching, and things could go bad from there.

What about the girl? Is she a fuckup? Does she seem destined to a wretched fate? She's certainly not on a good track if she's ditching school to fuck older guys. If her parents did catch her, would they be able to effectively discipline her so that she'd get her ass back in school, or would she start ditching again?

There's something to be said for minding your own business, but are you sure it wouldn't be good for her, in the long run, to be found out (at least for skipping school)? That might be the case. It might also be that her parents finding out will only strengthen her resolve to be a rebel or whatever, and if left to wear herself out on this lifestyle, she'll stop doing it faster than she would if you stick your nose in.

It's a judgment call based on how well you (and what you know about) the girl and her parents. If you do say something, though, you might be best served waiting until a day comes when you see her come home early and then you happen to be talking to her parents. Ask how she's doing, then, if they say she's fine, say oh, really? I thought she might be sick, since she came home early and all. When they turn real pale, your job is done.

Well, I should give some background... I know the father pretty well, and I'm older, for whoever it was that asked. The daughter isn't exactly a pillar of society, but then, she's not a gang bangin' killer either. Morally, if this girl is inviting these guys into her (parents) house and having sex with them it's consensual and nobodys business but hers, theirs and of course the parents, since it's their house. If I were the father in this case, and you told me what was going on; first of all I wouldn't be upset with you, why should I be? You obviously were concerned about my kids' welfare. I wouldn't be too happy with my daughter, skipping school and having sex. Most likely I'd confront her head-on with it, calmly, and come to an understanding of what is and isn't acceptable while she's living under my roof. As far as the skipping classes, I'd take her to Spurious Generalities here at totse and show her what kind of end result she could expect from her lack of education.. that should make her think twice. As for the sex, I would be stupid to believe she'd stop 'cause I told her to. I would however make damn sure she was up to date on using protection and very sure of the consequences of not using any. I'm not saying I would encourage her to have sex at all, just that "this" is gonna happen if you come home pregnant, etcetera...

Lastly, I'd keep a closer eye on my daughter.. not to the point of spying on her, but she'd know she was in the barrel.

You might consider an anonymous note? "From a concerned neighbor" type thing. This at least clues in the father, but keeps you in the clear.

You say that her father can have a temper so what happens if he catches her at it hen she decides to say you knew about it or something like that dragging you into it.

I think you need to at this stage especially if she has made a bit of a pass at you do something. Id just approach her and tell her that someone else maye another neighbour came to you and was talking about seeing her at it in the house or something and tell her she needs to be more discreet in future.
