Here's a little experiment of mine that I'd like to share with the readers!

I had nothing better to do than sit on the net and read dopey articles about picking up chicks one day and I came across a very iffy sounding one.

It sounded like bullshit but me being me, I decided to try it.

Basically...You use chicks' perfume in conjunction with your own cologne.

Bullshit you say?...Try it...It works!

The theory behind it is perfume is designed to attract women towards it so they will buy it.

Imagine...A woman walking past a cosmetics counter and she smells something nice and BAM she wants to buy it because the scent is designed to make her go crazy about it subconsciously.

Seeing as women have a higher sense of smell than men, the perfume companies exploit it.

So women smell it on you without noticing and they go crazy but they don't know why!

The ratio I used all the times I tried it were 1 to 3.

1 squirt of perfume to 3 squirts of your own gear.

Try it out.

Nick some of your mum's perfume, your sister's...Whatever.

Give some results too.

Only problem with that would be that the giirl would smell it an ask "are you wearing perfume?". Can you say akward?

Good points...but they are wrong.

1) The girl will smell it...but she won't realise you have perfume on...It's a subconscious thing...She can smell the power of the cologne but also a subtle hint of perfume.

There's no chance of the girl thinking you're a poof, Little Pea!

2) The cologne doesn't overpower it completely...As I said, it just has to be subtle.

The girl will smell it believe me!

while it may work (as in, a girl will smell the perfume but not really know it) i dont see how this is going to get you anywhere. i mean, girls arent jumping over the perfume counter to fuck the guy selling the stuff so youre going to have to have something else going for you if you want to seal the deal.

But seriously...Chicks like things that smell nice...Sort of like pheromones.

I'm not saying she will throw you to the ground, strip you and fuck you in front of everyone...All I'm saying is they'll want to talk to you because they'll find you that little bit more attractive.

Then it's up to you to get her to jump on you!

And they never have just one type, they have like 5. I'm going to try this out, I really like the sound of it.

Very interesting. Please forgive me if I am a bit skeptical. This kind of sounds like the pheromones-in-a-bottle or mix tapes with subliminal messages. If there is any effect with those things, it is because you believe it will work and it gives you confidence. I would like to read more on this though. Do you have a link or the source of this article?

In hindsight this thread does sound like one of the ads that sell pheromones in a bottle or something that claim to make you irresistable.

I can assure you it's not...I wouldn't ever buy anything like that shit!

I wonder if this would work for any "women's" perfume. Some are so flowery and feminine I would think they'd be counter-productive. But I don't know how these mix with "men's" fragrances; they may smell entirely different in that case.

However, those with spicy, woodsy or chypre notes could very well be effective. Especially those with sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla or vetivert bases.

That's why I exagerate the word "experiment".

I just used the first thing I found in my sister's room (with her permission of course!) and whacked that on.

That was rather floral and sweet smelling but I used it along with Cool Water.

I suppose you have to use your brain a little so you can imagine if it would work well or not but experimentation is well worth it!

i always put the effort into trying to smell nice. i put aftershave on wheather im at college or on a night out, where would it be better off to try at college where i see the same people day in day out or on a night out where id be more likly to meet someone i dont know????

The way I read it, you can use it anywhere.

I tended to only use it on nights out with buddies because I was on the look out for chicks.

Hence the reason I have a girl.

Turns out she thought I smelled nice that night but couldn't spot why!

The way I would suggest is to use it when you're on the lookout for women...I mean...Your mum/sister/girlfriend/aunt/grandma will be pretty pissed off when they realise their perfume is going a little too quickly!

im gonna have to try it , my gf finished me last week but before her i was on fire with the ladies and the nite after we split i tryed my best with them and didnt even get a proper kiss, it seems like ive lost my mojo!!!!

It's called 'Flowering Herbs Body Splash' and it's from Bath and Body Works.

Several readers have written in to comment that the "Juniper Berry" line from Bath and Body Works has had given results similar to the ones outlined above. Yay!

Sy...I strongly suggest you try it out man...It worked every time I used it.

Some may say it was a confidence thing like the bottled pheromones but to tell you all the truth, women were coming up to me...That's not a usual thing!

Remember...Experimentation is the key.

If the first mixture doesn't work then try something else.

I say, don't wear cologne or perfume. It's all in the soap people. My girlfriend goes crazy over some of the exotic soap brands I use. I won't wear anything but deoderant. Besides, all cologne is sharp and smells terrible. When I smell these black kids (and I do apologize for using blacks as an example) with their cologne when they come on a school bus I tell them they smell like shit. I mean I have no clue why girls like cologne in the first place. And for those of you who are wondering, I'm a tough kid so I can say what I want to these lowlife thugs.

Llama...The trick to using cologne effectively is to not put too much on or you'll end up smelling like a whore's handbag!

Many people put way too much on and it repels women rather than attract them.

If not and this thread has somehow confused you, I merely meant use some of your mum's or sister's perfume to experiment with...NOT to use it ON your mum or sister...Unless, for some reason, a certain reader finds a member of their family somewhat attractive!

If the word "Experiment" didn't mean anything to you the many times I have said it then you're wasting your time reading this thread!

Although what this guys says is partly true about cologne being strong, I urge you to experiment.

For example, if you usually put on 3 squirts of your own gear, change it to 2 of yours and one of theirs!

As I keep saying: EXPERIMENT!!!

So this weekend I went and saw my girlfriend. As soon as I got there I threw on some of her vanilla stuff under my Swiss Army. I can't say she was after me more than usual. (After not seeing her for a week or two, the "usual" is pretty strong) But I will say that all of her friends seemed to care just a little bit more about what I had to say. And I was trying to be objective to make sure it wasn’t in my head because I was expecting it.

I know what you mean though Nocuous...My girl and I have a pretty close relationship.

When I tried it on her a couple of times, she didn't seem to get too excited but there was something different.

Also...As you noticed...Her friends were a lot nicer than usual to me!!!
