hrm... i have a bit of a problem on my hands. i've liked this girl for about 2 years, but it didnt seem as if she liked me back, so after many hours of longing i just stopped. just recently this other girl started liking me and so she asked me out. i said yes, because shes a great person. but now that we're going out, i just found out that the very attractive girl ive had a crush on for so long, had a crush on me for 3 years and still does. now i really dont want to upset my gf and all...i just cant stop thinking about the other girl. erm any help would be appreciated.

That is a tough one. If you are a kid, I would say follow your heart. But I have gotten to the age where I try to make relationships work, and I will not leave a girl unless there is a problem in the relationship. In other words, I don't try to get a bigger and better deal all the time. But IMO, teens are supposed to play the field. Especially if you are in HS, commitment is overrated.

you liked this girl, probably for her looks and you only saw the best parts of her. that's how infatuation works. you saw her as a bright, funny, gorgous, caring, cool, smart girl. she might be all of these things. but your mental picture of her only has the good parts of her. it's not the real her. next time you see her, take a really close look. pick out some of her flaws. before you decide to dump your girlfriend for some chick you've been lusting over, examine her personality closely. hell, have a really good convo with her. if you really look at her, chances are, you won't like her much any more. chances are, your current gf will be a better choice, she knew what she wanted and had the guts to go for it.

What ever you do...don't dump your girlfriend. I can tell you what will happen as soon as you do. Girls are kinda dumb, ya see...she obviously liked you from before. She let you know about it now because she can't have you. Does that make any sense? Well if it does, then you're probably a chick. But trust me...my wife told me this crap. And I figure she's got to know what she's talking about.

So if you dump her, on your way to the first girls house you'll stop and get extra ready for this upcoming moment. Then something out of the blue is going to happen and prevent you from her, I guarantee it! You are gonna feel dumb as fuk with out either chick. Stick with what ya got. The first one'll be there still. Maybe you can hook her up later...or on the side. YEAH!! The same time maybe??

I agree with this...You're young...Go out and fill your boots while you can!

If not because you respect them and love them both and blah blah blah make up your mind...Which one will be better...the girl you're with or the girl you've lusted over for 3 years?

I have said this before and I'll say it again:

Write down the good points about each of them and weight them against each other.
