staring
When you are with your bf/gf/hubby/wife
If you are out do stare at other people?
I mean you see a complete knockout,
and just lose your train of thoughts, everything.
How do they react?
Just curious.

Re: staring
Staring is impolite. We'll say "checking out clandestinely."
Depends on the person. Some people will react as they would to any breech of social etiquette and seethe quietly. And others might throw a drink in your face.
Beautiful people are appealing. If I spy a real knockout of a woman, I'm inclined to point her out to my guy. This has always resulted in good things for me.

Re: staring
Lots of girls get upset if they catch you checking out another girl. But they usually fall into 1 of 2 very different categories. One is the type that is genuinely threatened and upset. I try to not hurt their feelings as much as possible. The second is the type that is a bit controlling and instinctively tries to put you on the defensive at every opportunity to keep you on your heels. I tend to go out of my way to piss these girls off. I like to live dangerously.

Re: staring
*removes glass eye* Well different people handle situations uhmmm.....differently...yeah that's it. Somwtimes, I know it's ok and it's kind of a big joke. But other times...God forbid you look both ways before crossing the street or else!!

and your signifigent(spl?) other is, let's say, touched by a waiter/waitress at dinner,
much more than necessary. Is it a posession thing?

Re: staring
If I'm out with a girl, it honestly wouldn't bother me if she just glanced and looked for a few seconds...It's human nature after all.
If she stared though, it would bother me but I wouldn't start a big thing over it...Just like "Oi...Put your tongue back in your mouth!"
I try not to stare though...Last time I did so I got a bollocking off my girl!

Re: staring
If the girl is secure and onfident in herself, there will be no problem. If she is insecure or lacks confidene in herself, you'll be taking your glass eye out every night---just like "LwaysTired"!! (hee hee). As for me, I like it when the guy I'm with checks out the hot girls, 'cause when he looks back at me I know he will be even happier with me than before!! Love, Venus.

Re: staring
As a side note that perhaps doesn't quite belong here, I cannot stand being stared at by anyone but a pretty woman, and even that's dicey. Short men with Napoleon syndrome often eye me up aggressively; ugly, fat soccer moms insist on staring at me, and again, men in general size me up, and it pisses me off. I don't mind a quick glance, that's human nature afterall, but if I'm stared at long enough by some fruitbar, I'll say "Just what the hell are you looking at?". It sounds weak, but it seems to do the trick.
Anyway, back on topic: I do look at girls, but I never turn my head, and thusly I never get caught, either. I don't mind if the girl I'm with looks either; I'm not an insecure prick. I do, however, have a serious thing about touching. If a guy just shakes her hand or something, I don't get pissed, but when he touches her arm or hand excessively, or tries to surreptitiously look down her shirt, or asks her personal questions or anything, I get very angry, because not only is it disrespectful to her, it's a blatant affront to me. It almost earned one guy a slit-open wrist on time, but it's another story. Hopefully having a nice SRK held to his wrist taught him a lesson.

Re: staring
Hmmm....when I'm out with a guy, I really don't mind him looking at other girls. Even staring is kind of....you know, one sees something pretty and one wants a second look. In fact a lot of the time I point the girls out. But most guys get really jealous if I so much as look at anyone else - I mean what's the big deal there, it's a look! And god forbid I mention someone else's looks...Grrr. Alright. Sufficiently off-topic to retain my totse character?
