Default Taking a girl out on a date.

Somehow, by some act of god, I managed to convince a girl to go on a date with me.

Where should I take her?

I would like to just sit some where and talk, but somewhere a little more original than a coffee shop would be cool.

It's going to be late, so dinner / movie is not really an option.

I live in a big college town, and my roommates would scare the shit out of her, so home it out.

I would love to walk around with her, but it's too cold.

Hmmm.

Go to the mall and have a drink with her in like a corner shop. Or something like that. That way you are inside, you have something to drink, and when it closes you can go to somewhere where you have a beautifull panoramic vieuw and kiss her in the moonlight sounds movie like, but could work.

This question seems to come up a lot, yet I don't think I've seen a really good solution. And I'm sorry, but I don't have one either.

Question: Why a late date? I would think that if you wanted a date to work you need all the advantages you can get. Scheduling the date for a time when you have more options, such as a walk in the park or whatever, is a major advantage.

Nothing wrong with a coffee shop/cafe. You be original; don't count on your surroundings to speak for you. And besides, "original date concept" is just too much pressure for a first date.

unless this girl is something REALLY special, don't use all your good date ideas (which are apparantly very limited) on the first date.

Well, I have hung out with her before, but never anything formal, so I'm not too nervous about it.

I didn't find anything interesting after walking around town most of the afternoon.

Although, it might be cool to walk around meijers until about 2:00.

Anyway, I'm thinking coffee shop, then a bar.

No really, I don't know how it is over there, but I want a smart, pretty girl. Someone who I can't have good conversations with and who has a good sence of humor. I don't see why you think I was laughing with you?

What's wrong with the park at night? Just bring a blanket and a bottle.

The first date is about getting to know each other. Anywhere where you can sit, talk and have a drink is cool. Don't try to impress her too soon.

As for oddball first dates, I once took a girl out to a shooting range. She even fired a few shots, even though she was scared.

Bottom line, it's about you and her. There is no date, as that kid in the Matrix would say.

You mean, someone you can have a good conversation with. A coffeeshop wouldn't be bad, but try to find a small drink/food place. But really, you should be the highlight of the date, not the place you take her.

If you have the beat...

you could take her dancing.

Girl's love dancing in general, and if SHE cant Dance and YOU can, you can TEACH her!(not likely)

anyway, any time you can take a girl some where that will show off some special ability you have (golfing, bowling dancing etc.) it is a good Idea for a date. It establishes how great at everything you are, and trust me, girls love gimicks!

Fuck the temperature, go out on a walk. Just tell her to take a warm jacket.
