Clingy ?
My girlfriend and I have been together for almost a month now... I know that's really nothing... and it's not too serious of a relationship, but I still like being around her alot and don't want to lose her.
Well I recently had a conversation with her about past boyfriends and why they broke up and she said alot of them just got on her nerves. So I told her to make sure to tell me if I was ever annoying her. Well for the past few days she hasn't really been the same around me.. then today she told me that she thought I was too clingy. Has anyone else ever been told this.. and if so what did you do about it... Obviously I'm going to try to be less "clingy" but I'm afraid that things are going to get awkward... any help would be appreciated.

Re: Clingy ?
"A lot of them got on her nerves...?" Did she specifically say why? It can't always be about the guys. And how does she define "clingy?"
These are things you need to know. Ask her.
Telling a guy he's "clingy" was often my way of saying "I can't decide what I want, I have a short attention span, so I'm moving on." Haven't done that in years 'cause it's a crappy way to treat a person, but young girls rarely know better when they have too many options.

Re: Clingy ?
^^^^^^ thats not ture at all....
some people are just clingy i used to be when i was a little younger but i developed out of it....
i hate people who are clingy but sometimes if a girl is clingy its a turn on becasuse it means you hold a lot of power over them which is a bad thing because ethier i will get really pissed off at her or really try to see how far i can push her just for the fun of it....

Re: Clingy ?
so just play her little game. ignore her for a few days. don't call her every time you say you will. don't talk to her as much as normal. i know it sounds like shit, but it'll be less clingy...

Re: Clingy ?
Could be what Cindy said, could be what Jay said, but I would do what Eyesore said. You obviously ain't going to get anywhere doing what you're doing whether the problem is you or her.

Re: Clingy ?
everyone's advice, appropriate it all is. it is true that teen girls have an attention span of 0.23 seconds when it comes to boys. they also have a tendency to flee from things that are even slightly uncomfortable to deal with. sounds like you could do with someone a little more down to earth. also, if you are counting the days in a relationship then you prolly are a touch clingy, but dont let it stop you finding someone who will appreciate you for everything you are.
